It's not factions, but I love seeing anything fight an albino radscorpion. A deathclaw took one on and won the other day! it was amazing, I should have placed a bet or something. Shame I had to dispatch it soon afterwards. :flamethrower:

The entire Citadel, or alternatively speaking. Me against the entirety of the Brotherhood of Steel. Epic battles. Bodies everywhere, and a whole lot of madness. Good times.

Me, Lucy West, and Bryan Wilks fighting six Talon Company mercs in the middle of nowhere. I'm not too far into the main quest on this playthrough and I don't do a lot of mass murdering of settlements, so I haven't really seen a whole lot of large battles.

The time Charon glitched. ;-;

I wasn't even that high level, I don't know, one of the security guys must have been talkin' about his mother cos he bugged out and started mowing down all in his path. I was forced into a huge battle.

It was good though. I reloaded. XD

Mall-side steps of the Capitol Building - with MMM Increased Spawns. The Seward Sq side isn't bad either.

Clearing out that nest of villany, Paradise Falls or Evergreen Mills comes in second/third.

Me, Charon, and Defender Morrill (All in Outcast Armour) against a hell of a lot of Super Mutants.

I fast travelled there a while after I'd done Anchorage to get some loot I left there. Morrill was the only guy left at the place... I found out why no one could take him out when he helped me and Charon mow-down maybe over a dozen Super Mutants just outside the gates to the outpost. Or should I more accurately say me and Morrill took on the Super Mutants. He was awesome! The guy made Charon look like the amateur he really is, especially when he had his head blown off by an Overlord. :banghead:  I didn't reload to save him. Morrill didn't die! I didn't die! ...plus there were too many Tri-beam Lasers to loot. .... Sorry Charon, wish I could say I missed you.

I had a pretty epic battle when at the Clifftop Shacks. It involved many Super Mutants, an Enclave platoon, some hunters (the cannibals, I think) and my team.

The Hunters were dispatched rather easily, and so were the Super Mutants save for the odd Master, but the Enclave were pretty difficult, though their entire squad fell to an Overlord with a Gatling Laser.

I wished I saved before hand. :(

The "Take it Back!" quest with all 7 permanent followers + Sticky, Red, Shorty and Sydney all clad in Hellfire armor on the PS3. It started out epically slow and resulted in an epic game freeze.

I went back and finished the quest with Fawkes, RL-3 and Dogmeat, FTW! =p

I was near Reclining Groves. Took out a band of raiders. Then starting taking fire from an Enclave Patrol. Then a vertibird landed with more Enclave. Throw some giant radscorpions in the midst. Then there were another group of raiders. They were shooting at someone hiding behind a tree. Turned out to be Donovan. Sadly he died. I took out those raiders, and then three Super Mutants showed up. The entire time, I was either chucking nades, or constantly firing Eugene. Made it out with one bar of health. Charon died too. It was awesome, except for the Charon part. Unfortunately I haven't seen this kind of crazy since. It was on one of my earlier playthroughs.

That's a key factor... in later plays, you know enough not to get into the middle of those furballs in the first place.

Early on, you're more likely to blunder into a situation, then escalate it by blundering into even more enemies while running around in random directions. Later on, you're more likely to know the terrain, or have an eye for it and where enemies might be hiding.

Good point. Having no real plan or strategy makes for unpredictable results. :ahhh:
Maybe the reason why 'noobs' get so much stick :poke: (in general, not here) is because veterans know they're having more fun. Not knowing stuff is cool,.. stupid people look pretty happy to me anyway. :hehe:

Probably me trying to get to GNR Plaza without the Brotherhood. Picture me taking on a couple dozen muties, including a few Brutes, all by myself, then finishing with that Behemoth. And trying to keep Dogmeat alive while doing it.

Mason District....exiting the Metro station I came upon a group of 4 Talons who were engaged with about 8 Super Mutants...I was at lower levels so most of the Muties were the garden variety with a few Brutes and no Overlords. Talon's attention turned to me and they took some heavy fire from the Muties who were focused mainly on Talon thank goodness....after a short time the Muties (and me) finished off Talon which left me to deal with the remaining four Muties who I eventually dispatched....
