[WIP] Your Bloody Courier Clothes

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 10:29 am

So keeping on the courier theme I decided to make the clothes that you had your head blown off in. Creepy yes, but I thought it would be kind of bad ass to confront Benny in your blood soaked courier clothes. And also it'll make more sense for you to start out wearing this, rather than a vault suit.

I wasn't really sure what the mohave express uniform should look like (I wasn't to keen on just a mail man outift) so I decided to try and piece something together much like the http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36947.

you don't start out wearing anything, and it does make sense for the doc to cut away and thus render unusable the clothing that a person is wearing in such a situation prior to surgery.

I like this idea, However, i also like the idea of a postman uniform, as it would tie in with the post apocalyptic setting of "the postman".

Well considering you were shot in the head. I think the clothing could be use able. Also, this is supposed to be a bleak apocalyptic world. I feel like someone might be kind enough to wash the clothes for you and possibly mend them, but I doubt anyone has clothing to spare. But that's my opinion.

As always if you don't like it don't download it.

Pictures added. Still have to add blood and bleach spots to make it seem like it was badly washed.

How does cutting up your shirt make it any easier to perform brain surgery?

Unless you were wearing your pants on your head, this is a bit of a non issue. Besides, it's a cool outfit, so who gives a crap. Don't like it, don't download it.

Also, just a note, but it's actually 'Mojave' and not 'Mohave' :)

Looks nice. If I may ask, What's with so many American references on the courier's clothing. Seems to me that just one or two would be enough, the rest seems to be a bit of overkill.

FYI: I am an American myself, I was just curious as to why so many.

Harmy: Whoops. Yeah I svck. There's actually a little nod to a mistake on the courier power armor if you can find it.

Barrettsfloyd: Not sure what you mean, post office stuff usually has red white and blue all over it. The belt buckle was just something I liked. I don't think it screams america. Anyone else share that opinion. Rather fix something now than hear about it for months on the nexus.

It's not that I mind, I was just curious as to why so much red, white, and blue. Like I said, I like it just fine, it's just IMO it seems a bit much.

Mojave express logo is red white and blue, that's on the back of the vest and the bag. The postal service logo is red white blue that's on the vest. And there's a belt buckle that I thought looked like a cowboy/mailman logo. If some other people share your opinion I"ll change the belt buckle as that's the only thing that's a straight up american flag.

I don't really have a problem with the belt buckle, and the very american look is a big part of Fallout.

I have one suggestion though, you say this is what you were buried in, how about adding the gloves you see in the intro cinematic, when your character is strugglign to get free from the ropes?

Sure what'd they look like? I think I remember them being gray.

More pictures added. There's going to be a couple version of this included. Plain Mojave express outfit. Personalized Outfit for the courier. Bloody Outfit. And then plain and bloody no vest versions.

in the intro the gloves where a creamy/beige colour and your shirt/ jacket was blue , not gray( but gray does look better with vest) and you also had a straw hat

I tried taking a screenshot from the intro cinematic, but that didn't work for some reason. Anyway, the lighting is dark, but they looked beige or a brownish gray to me, you could just start a new game to see them in action in the cinematic, then just quit before Doc Mitchell starts talking.

I also noticed the character was wearing a satchel by his hip, like the burlap sacks some villagers and caravaners wear.

I can do the gloves. Can't do the jacket unless someone can find me a mesh to plop over the vest and shirt. I'll include the straw hat as well.

Yeah I agree, it doesn't have to look exactly like it does in the cinematic anyway, do your own thing. :)

The hat was the thing that didn't make sense to me in the cinematic. How would you have your hat still sitting on your head after being ambushed and tied up by five khans, unless they kindly put it back on your head for you. It looks great, are you doing a male and female version?

Looks great i love it, i always felt stupid stepping out of a house with a vault suit and pipboy, like if i was impersonating a person from a vault...lol, it will be nice to dress as what you actually were.

(i have the readius mod so that solves the pipboy issue, but not the outfit =p)
