Your Character And Their Backround !

Name: Jaraghan
Race: Nord
Signatuer Apperal: Most likely heavy armor
Backround: Born and raised in a small village far up north from Cyrodil (think Riverwood but tons of more snow). Raised from a little kid to be a great warrior among his people until a jealous rival named Uthgar challenged him to a fight to the death. Uthgar won by cheating, and Jaraghan was mortally wounded. His dog dragged him into the woods while Uthgar claimed the title "Warrior of the Tribe". Jaraghan slowly recovered, always planning revenge. Until one day came when he tried to get revenge, Uthgar had convinced the town that Jaraghan led an attack to slaughter so many innocents in the town (which Jaraghan didn't and it was a different bandit). The guards were hiding in the town when Jaraghan came back for revenge. They arrested Jaraghan and took him to jail were he was to be hanged.

Vorthos is a Shadowscale Argonian, taken by slavers at a young age, before he got sent to the Dark Brotherhood. He was kept in Cyrodiil untilthe Brotherhood killed his captors. Vorthos ran away, north to Skyrim.

He joined the Dark Brotherhood there, and sharpened his skills. His Dragonborn abilities had not yet surfaced, but higher members of the Brotherhood knew of his destiny. And they wanted to harness it.

One day, the Brotherhood stronghold was attacked by slavers from Cyrodiil. Vorthos' latent Dragonborn talents exploded from him in rage, and the stronghold, slavers and surrounding town was destroyed. Vorthos lost his memory in the explosion.

The members of the Brotherhood wanted to use him to stop the Coming of Alduin, which they saw as a threat to Sithis. They planted the newly-amnesic Vorthos in a prison, and waited for him to relearn his talents. They don't guide his life as per instructions from Sithis himself, and instead left him to struggle for survival.

Name: Adailanna

Race: Bosmer

six: Female

Appearance: average height red hair and green eyes. Striking appearance.

Fighting style: Proficient with blades, stealth, and magic of any kind

Backstory: Many years ago before she was born Adailanna's grandmother joined the assassin's guild. She worked her way up in rank by buttering up to guild members and doing the cleanest and best jobs anyone in the guild had ever seen. Once she had a prominent standing in the guild she murdered one of the higher ranking members because of a feud that took place long ago. She then disappeared from the guild and gave up her life of crime. But no matter how hard she tried to reform, her life of crime would always haunt her, the dark brotherhood would constantly barrage her with assassins, but they were never any match for her. She soon gave birth to her daughter and in turn her daughter eventually gave birth to her granddaughter, Adailanna. Adailanna was trained on how to use a blade at a very young age, soon after she started her training with a blade she began her training in magic, and was incredibly adept in both these skills. And although she was never officially trained in stealth Adailanna was a natural born sneak. One day Adailanna decided make a trek to Skyrim to visit a friend who had settled there long ago. On the road she was attacked by agents of the assassins guild. She slayed all of them except for one, a man who instead of fighting her took off running in the opposite direction, she pursued him. They both raced around a bend in the road just as Adailanna cast a lightning spell killing her attacker. This was witnessed by a group of 10 guards at the nearby outpost and she was immediately arrested by the guards, for even though the man she had just killed was a member of the assassins guild, he was also a respected citizen of the nearby town. Adailanna was no match for the guards, and no matter how hard she tried to explain the situation no one would listen, she was thrown into jail and sentenced to be put to death in the morning.

Name: Alucard.
Race: Argonian.
Gender: Male.
Appearance: An Orangeish Reptile with glowing eyes. Of course, he is the most ATTRACTIVE Argonian in all of Nirn.
Fighting style: Interpretive dance.

Backstory: Alucard, the Lone Clueless Reptile, takes a stroll down the border of Skyrim, completely oblivious that he went too far from Cyrodiil. The cold-blooded Reptile was never bothered by the bite of the snow, for this certain Reptile is the toughest known to Nirn. He enjoyed the sights of bunnies ignorantly hopping around in the snow, and how the wind played a sweet song in his head. Alucard was ecstatic that day. When he thought this day couldn't get any better, he was confronted by multiple strangers. "Halt!" they shouted. "You must come with us!". Alucard happily went on with them, completely oblivious about the agenda for these men. "Brand new friends!", he thought. The feeling created more joy in this Argonian. (Would this Argonian ever stop getting so happy?) Although, he had a ringing question in his head on why fire, powerful force, and the halt of time would occur everytime he yawned, he would never know. At first, he thought he was a Dragon when he breathed fire, but smart Alucard knew that Dragons couldn't stop time or use the Force. Well, he had a surprise, but that is a story for later.

Forwards, onto the mountain he continues on with his new best friends, who had an odd strong grip around his arms....

Race: Imperial
six: Male
Skin tone: White
Name: Gordon Freeman

Equipment: Dark heavy armor (with orange detail if he can), any weapon that resembles a crowbar, and eye wear if they have any.

Background: Very quiet, his actions prove to be more enticing than words. Doesn't like argonians very much because they remind him of a certain race he had to fight at a certain place.

I wonder if anyone is actually reading these.

We should have a "poster must comment on previous poster" thread.

And hell yes, there should be such a thread with such a requirement. Lol. I think mostly members come and tell all about their own characters, then leave. lol.

  • Breton
  • "All of the above"

Prisoner.

My PC was sent as an agent to Tamriel's capital on a mission of great importance to an insignificant nobody of a mage.
Their employer teleported them through a warp/portal that landed them [hard] in a jail cell with amnesia.
The employer gave up on ever hearing from them again (shortly after), and abandoned them to their miserable fate.

Hardly. I read a few every few days or whenever I can be bothered to check the thread and skip really long ones.

Idk why I'm reading them, really. I think a part of me finds it somewhat entertaining how cliché some of these can get.

Check signature for my character information. I'm currently in the middle of writing the character story, but I'm hoping a fiction thread, or section will arise for people to post their full-length biographies (mine is 4+ pages, it seems a little excessive for this thread) so we can really get to know other characters for those who are interested!

A name has not been decided on yet, but he is an relative of my current Oblivion character Svendall. He will sport the same dark hair (very rare for a pure-bred Norseman) and icy blue eyes.

What, you mean "abused when a child" or "my argonian is a shadowscale" or "im a thief"?

Generic character archetypes are popular because they're the best! Yeaaaaaaah!

Yeah. And yeah, I guess, but some people have managed to add twists to make it a better read.

Kinda like mine?

Nah I actually didn't find yours to be a cliché (:

Twitch has few friends due to lack of trust he places on others and has grown to be very independent.

Story :

Twitch's parents are killed during the first few days of the civil war in Skyrim. Twitch immediatly leaves Skyrim for about a week to help smuggle his frail grandfather out of the country and away from the civil war, Twitch ends up in Bruma in Cyrodil. Twitch leaves his uncle in the inn there named the Olav's Tap n' Tack which has been in Bruma for over 200 years and is said to be where the hero of Cyrodil spent many nights during his quest to stop the invasion of Mehrunes Dagon 2 centuries earlier. A week later Twitch returns to Skyrim to join the civil war. Before being able to do so however, Twitch is arrested coming across the border. Twitch is later accused of [censored] and murdering a local girl about a week earlier. Known as a man who endulges his passion for women regually and after matching the description from various witnessess of the perpetrator seen fleeing the scene the evidence seemed conclusive for the girls father and justice had to be served. The girl was the daughter of a rich family hence why no questions are asked and judgment is passed with no trial, money talks. Sentenced to execution... what happens next.... To be continued 11.11.11

Name: Verick Nermarc

Race: Breton

Class: War Sorcerer

Description: I plan on creating a Breton that's is going to be the M1A1 Abrams of mages; he is going to be decked out in heavy armor with a shield in his left hand, blocking and shield-bashing away at his enemies while in his right he casts (either through a staff or palm) a variety of spells from frost to flame etc.

Background: Verick Nermarc found his calling like a majority of Bretons delving into the arcane arts, studying and absorbing all the esoteric knowledge that he could while living in his home province of High Rock. Of noble and aristocratic heritage Verick was not unfamiliar with the shrill brutality of battle as competing clans, lords, and kingdoms vied for power over one another. Having been ensnared in the perverse lust of skirmish and dangerous adventure, Verick joined a band of roving mercenaries comprised of his fellow countrymen along with a handful of Orc barbarians. Seeking coin and glory Verick and his sword brethren traveled throughout Tamriel launching raids into foreign lands for whatever Lord or strongman filled their purse. One such incursion was into the province of Skyrim, their services paid for by a Breton king greedily eying land with mining prospects of the rare ore ebony. Unfortunately for Verick and the mercenaries the martial people of Skyrim were not to be underestimated; they ran into ambush from all sides, Verick's brothers in arms were cut down as others fled back toward the border of High Rock. Verick was captured by the Nordic peoples, taken prisoner to be executed in market square; the Orc were not as fortunate, for them no quarter was spared, the Nords do not easily forget the Elven people's atrocities past; of the Night of Tears. Verick now sits in his cell waiting for death in a foreign land among a foreign people until fate decides to bring a Blade to the hangman's noose.....

Name: Gyd Riter

Race: Bosmer

Appearance: Classic Bosmer features, but in his advanced years (grey-haired), and taller than average for his kind. Prefers simple clothing of leathers and lightweight tunics. Scarred from numerous close calls in combat. Long Bow + quiver strapped to his back, with a wide variety of small to medium sized blades on his person. Various gadgets, tools, and tertiary weapons adorned on his pack and belt.

Background: Prefers to keep his violent and confusing past from others, so not much is known to even those closest to him. Seeking a new beginning, and a quest for redemption from a previous life of treachery and betrayal. Gyd has seen many of his comrades die, and has taken a vow to change his ways and become a defender of peace. Taking up the mantle of a simple adventurer and quest seeker, he desires to traverse Tamriel, and see the wonders of the world.

Before his dream can even begin to take form, he is caught up in a border war between factions and is mistaken for a high ranking general who happened to be a Bosmer. Trying to defuse the situation through his new found sense of honor and purpose, he is only dragged deeper into his predicament. Eventually an execution is planned and with no viable non-violent solution, he is forced to kill his captors and escape. Fleeing into the foreign land of Skyrim, he has been branded an outlaw, with a hefty bounty for capture. Being so out of his element and out of practice since his days of combat, Gyd is eventually captured and taken into custody. A prisoner with no hope left, until an unexpected path opens up before him...
