Hello everybody,

I'm currently making a mod based around Dante's Inferno, with Nine Circles of Hell filled with sinning, dead NPC's. I am trying to make as many NPC's as possible be historical tamriellic characters, like Jagar Tharn (Treachery), but there are not enough. So, I've decided to ask the community for character submissions. These characters will populate Hell, and the player will choose whether to punish or absolve them. A background is required for each character, but it doesn't have to be more than 4 or 5 sentences. Why they ended up in Hell will be explained in dialogue with that character. Right now, I am only looking for characters for Limbo. This means that your sin must be living a virtuous life, but not believing in the Gods..

Name: Gilbert d'Morloth
Gender: male
Race: Breton

Background: Known also as the Knight of the Black Rose, Gilbert d'Morloth was one of the bravest knights in all Wayrest, serving under queen Barenziah. When she moved to Mournhold he followed her. He never cared much for religion, claiming that the aedra never do anything at all. He could believe in Daedra Lords because they actually did things (bad things mostly), but not in the gods. He died in Mounrholds temple district after he refused to give 1 million septims to a beggar known as Gaenor.

Background: Voryn was a faithful follower of the Tribunal Temple and a scout for the Great House Redoran. He rose high in the ranks of the house but with the fall of Almsivi he lost his faith. He became grim and while he still upheld his high moral standards he didn't believe anything was of any real use anymore. He finally died defending Ald-Ruhn against the daedric hordes.

Imperial prison,he was a god hater,the worst thing of all is he killed the knights of the nine and burned down all of weyon priory.He was finally stoped by 5 Imperial Legion Elites.

Sorry, but I don't think Bake would quite fall under the category of Limbo. He would probably go to the circle of Violence, in the inner ring, where those who are violent against god go. I could reserve him for that circle, but as it is the eighth, I still have quite a lot of work to do on my mod.

Background: He was an argonian sorcerer. As is not uncommon amongst magic users, he occasionally acted against the set of morals he claimed to live by in search of power. He occasionally stole small items such as scrolls and soul gems, and sometimes engaged in daedra worship and summoning where it seemed it would benefit him, although he never harmed an innocent person in doing so. Later on in his life, he contracted Poryphyric Hemophilia. As a vampire he fed only when he most needed to, but put little effort into seeking a cure, and eventually decided to stay as one. He was killed by vampire hunters. Although he never did anything horrible, he simply failed to do good.

Background: Veronica was one of the Dark Brotherhood assassin a few years ago, the Black Hand gave to her a mission which was to assassinate a group of five soldiers that went toward one of the sanctuaries of the dark brotherhood. Apparently, a member of the Dark Brotherhood said where was the sanctuary, Veronica and her brother, Sepht accepted the mission. The two completed the mission successfully, but there was a Oblivion Gate and they feel obliged to eliminate the creatures that leave the gate, meanwhile some Dremora left the Oblivion Gate and killed Sepht. Veronica filled with hatred and came into the oblivion gate in order to avenge the death of his brother. She passed 2 months inside of the gate and one day, she died by a dremora arrow on her heart.

Sorry, but your character isn't qualified for Limbo. Veronica would go to Violence, and as I said, there will be quite some time before I'm finished with that realm.

Background: Flora worked as a healer in a chapel to Mara, tending to the sick and wounded as a volunteer. One day, the chapel was attacked by bandits. Flora prayed to each of the divines but nothing happened-the bandits stole everything of value and murdered one of Flora's closest friends. The young Breton was angry at the gods and renounced her faith, swearing to have revenge on the bandits. After many months in the wilderness, Flora found the bandit ringleader. She challenged the bandits but was no match for them.

Dar'Shazzir isn't eligible to go to Limbo, he didn't commit the correct sins. Sorry. To go to Limbo, you must have been a virtuous person who didn't believe in the gods.

Accepted. It's funny, because I actually have a character very reminiscent of her; the only thing is is that my character got involved in daedra worship after the chapel in Anvil was destroyed by Umaril.

This is amazing! I have been half-thinking about making a Dante's Inferno mod, simply because it is my favorite book. This idea is absolutely wonderful, but your OP states that there are no more slots open for Limbo? This is sad, as I would not like my character to be remembered in Tamrielic/Modding history as the Brutus, Judas, and Cassius of the Elder Scrolls.

Background:

Jack Maher is an Imperial assassin from Skyrim. He killed Nords for free because a group of Nords thugs took over his village and beat his girlfriend Jane to death. They knew that he was an assassin so he had to flee the country and try to restart. He went to Cyrodiil hoping his Skyrim won’t go looking for him there.
Starting over in Cyrodill was hard for him because the Guard system is way more advanced than The Skyrim. He couldn’t find a break. Then one day he saw the Nord who killed his girlfriend alone with none of his other thugs. Jack took the opportunity to kill him. The guards saw it happen and then threw him in jail.
Then once the emperor was assassinated and Jack escaped form the sewers he wanted to just lay low and hide until he was trained up enough and skilled enough to make his Assassin fame in Cyrodill

He shunned the Chapels and Gods because he couldn't believe any loving Gods could put him through such hardships. He finally did find his father, dead in a cave in Morrowind at the hands of rogue mages. Just as he swore on his mother's name that he would have his revenge, he was knocked unconscious and awoke in an Imperial prison cell...

Background: While Gregreo served dutifuly as a lord in Skingrad, not many know of his dark, henious deeds as a member of the Dark Brotherhood. The innocents he had killed to serve Sithis wishes to see him burn.
