Is your company worried...

Thought this was interesting. I work at a massive communications company in Canada and was discussing Skyrim today with one of the younger managers at my work who plays SOME games on console. He mentioned that there had actually been concern amongst our HR department about the launch of Skyrim (which is also a crazy busy time of year for us). Apparently they are trying to figure out monitoring sick-days extra hard around 11/11/11 and are concerned about people not showing up to work.

He said it's the first game launch they have ever really taken seriously.

Anyone else think their employer is concerned about Skyrim's launch?

LOL. I guess this was inevitable :lmao: . No, my company doesn't poke into their employee's private life as long as they show up for work ;)

I`m self employed and so therefore must monitor my own absence rate. A week off after the 11th seems perfectly reasonable to me :celebration:

I'm a student, so I'm more worried about my grades... I guess I'll really have to monitor my priorities and decide only to play in the evenings. I don't have many classes, but really a lot of stuff to do in my own time. I'll try to make sure I'll keep 11/11/11 free from any obligations.

why isnt 11/11/11 being declared a national holiday?

It already is in France. Good thing if we can have our game the day before, very bad new otherwise!
