Your controller or keyboard set up

Post » Sat Jan 12, 2013 10:42 pm

How do you set up the buttons, levers, mushrooms (etc.) on your controller or keyboard, or whatever you use to game? It's been awhile since I've started a new topic, and I'm all paranoid that this will considered "spam" possibly, but ya never know until you try, right?

Anyways, this is how it is on PS3 for me. My only PS3 game these days is Lady Saga, of course.

^ = draw weapon
O = character menu
[] = jump
X = action
L1 = block
R1 = sneak
L2 = grab
R2 = spells
L3 = activate
R3 = change view (3rd vs. 1st person)

Select = wait
Start = pause

The reason I'm starting this topic is 'cause I wanna see if anybody does things wildly different than I do. Maybe I'll even try to play a game with someone else's buttons!

I forget how this corresponds to my Xbox games. It's the same buttons as the PS3, but I forget how the Xbox does it.

I use a keyboard and rest my left fingers on the good old ASDF keys. So some of my assignments are:

Q = toggle run/walk
W = grab {also denock arrow (mod)}
E = activate
R = jump
T = equip bow / stow it

A = run
S = move left
D = move right
F = sneak
G = cast

V = move backward
Space bar = move forward

Mouse middle button changes view (1st / 3d person) as well as camera distance in 3d person.
Mouse left button is attack (draw arrow and release it).
Mouse right button is block (with bow).
