Your fail moments?

After going through a massive fight with two dragons (And nearly dying several times in the process), I looted them and happily made my way down the side of the mountain. I decided to look up into the air and give off a nice, "Fus Ro Dah!" in celebration, but forgot my hotkey had it set to Whirlwind Sprint. I got to watch myself plummet into the air and drop to the town below. Once my demise was over, the game reloaded me directly before the fight - when I had saved before taking on the massive beasts.

it's the nine punishing you

after all, you only use the voice to give praise to the gods and slay the dragons
what you did was an act of vanity for the prowess of man :P

Backing away from a Dragon during a fight and going straight over a cliff.

A very high and sheer cliff.

That was exactly what i did once... i was like 'woops!'

After offering to guide a pilgrim from Whiterun to a place on the eastern side of the map I decided to partake in a drinking contest with a fellow in the inn at Whiterun. Next thing I know we're all transported to a huge city on the far western side of the map that I didn't want to see until I ventured there myself.

After hitching a wagon ride back to Whiterun and nearly making it to the pilgrim's destination, I attract the attention of a dragon. I do a pretty good job of protecting the poor pilgrim until the dragon attracts the attention of a nearby giant camp. Needless to say, that was the end of the poor pilgrim.

Have any of you guys had a completely "why the hell did I do that?" moment in skyrim.

One of my characters was a simple fisherman. Chasing dinner, he went way too deep for far too long.
Bloop..bloop..bloo...

I miss my breath meter.

Mine was killing a chicken... I praised the nine divines that I had saved beforehand.

I did the same thing in the first town, don't remember the name, the town right after the tutorial. Brunt a chicken to a crisp, laughed, and turned around just in time to see a huge Nord hit me in the face with a very large axe.

Me to! The next best one was backing into the Giant the Dragon was strafing and getting thumped as soon as I killed the Dragon :)

Lydia getting knocked down by a (rock) avalanche on top of mountain while we were inspecting these group of dead refugees covered partly by Snow. Happened on the same peak where Azura's Shrine is located but more to the west. That was pretty epic as the mountain was kind of roaring. First I thought it was a dragon, Lydia even got knocked down but was able to revive herself.

The last happened a few minutes ago when Lydia got killed by this boss protecting a word wall. She is laying there now on top of that mountain against that word wall. As it took me 20 minutes to kill the boss (with lots of kiting and healing) I decided to not reload and have her rest there, seems like a fitting place to die. RIP Lydia... I am level 15 still playing at adept level, I was considering right before to up the difificulty to expert, that definitely changed my mind.

oh god...

1st fail moment:

20 min into the game "oh look, giants... I bet they have some sweet loot!"

2nd fail moment
Ok... it was late, like in the middle of the night... 1:30am~ish... I'm alone in the dark playing with pretty high volume and I'm exploring some catacombs and suddenly a ghostly voice.... "LEEEAVE THIS PLAAAACE".

Scared the sh*t out of me, knocked down my glass filled with Coca-cola and allmost fell of my chair :twirl:

Might have knocked my companion of a mountain or two aswell with my voice mistaking her for an enemy ;)

After Lydia and I were getting rolled by two frost trolls we were backed up against a cliff edge. No where to run. No magika to heal. No potions. No scrolls. Its the end of the road.

So I look down and see the river. I turn to Lydia. "We could just jump!"
Lydia looks down, then looks a me. "Like hell we could!"
I say "Why not? We can make it! I'll jump first!"
Lydia says "No."
I say "OK then you jump first."
Lydia yells "No!"
I look at Lydia. "What's the matter with you?"
Lydia looks at me with terror on her face "I can't swim!"
I start laughing. "Are you crazy? The fall will probably kill you!"
Then I position myself in front of Lydia. "OK hold still!"
Lydia glares at me "Don't you dare!"
"Sis boom ba!" and I shout punt her off the cliff.
Then I look back at the Trolls and say "Later losers!" and take a running leap...
"oooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttttttttttttttttt!"

Then I realize that Skyrim physics are not quite so accurate and the arc that I thought would carry me safely out over the river suddenly stalled and I impacted on the shore, 2 feet from the river.

SPLAT! Good job Butch!

Not one of my better moments!

Recognizing the stone shield and the spiked wall for what they are...

... Only to wonder about the jug hanging from the ceiling a few rooms ahead, then taking a swing at it to see what's inside.

If only you'd used the Word of Power--"Pi?ata!", you would have been fine. *shakes head sadly*

Finding out that Khajiit's only look like cats when mine failed to land on its feet..... :whistling:

Fighting my first blood dragon with my mage, I knocked it down to barely any health with my magic. Then I got the bright idea of trying to finish it off with a conjured battleaxe, just for kicks. Ran at it, swinging...and before I even reached him he took me in his mouth and threw me off the cliff. Note to self...never send in the squishy mage into melee with a dragon...*facepalm*

I've not had any epic fail moments yet.

But i'm sure all of us have done this in their first few levels, the first time they saw a mammoth or giant in the wild:
*quick save*
*equips bow*

hmmm lets see if I can take this one with alittle running around.

*crouches at a distance and lets off an arrow*

Notices the health barely moved and it's steam rolling towards me.

Oh crap!

*Bam one hit death*

----
I have a good laugh at myself as it auto-loads before my moment of stupidity. Lets go around those next time.

Title should be called Skyrim fail moments.

One of many quest bugs I have run into.

Companions quest to kill a sabre cat (keeping this vague for spoiler reasons) after I kill it the entire town wants to kill me. Restart, let guards kill the sabre cat, after killing 2 guards and the house owner. The towns people don't kill me.
