Is your Farkas dead?

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 3:27 pm

I was under the impression that Farkas couldnt die. When I had finished the Companions,I was happy to have a follower with whom I could freely spam chain-lightning in the presence of.Yet here he lies, next to the barely-bloodied sword I had just forged for him.Has anyone else recklessly spammed Farkas to death.I havent done any of his post-faction quests.Shouldnt he still be marked as essential?

no he becomes a regular follower once you complete the companions quest line. He can die like any other follower if your not careful with magic.

As with Lydia, Farkus tends to get in your way while in battle, and your magic seems to kill them easily. If your going to use a companion, Alea the huntress is problably your best choice. She hangs back a bit, and is deadly with a bow.
Hope this helps.

Lydia dies the day she signed up. She had no clue that I liked to jump off of mountains. By the way, is the any followers who will turn into a werewolf for you? that would be sweet.

See, this is where the "Spray & Pray" perk would be so handy.

Those of you who have played Fallout: NV know exactly what I'm talking about, but for those out of the loop, it's a perk that lets you spray the room with bullets without worrying about hitting your companions. It would be awesome if that sort of thing could be done in Skyrim, except that it would work with magic. I mean, anyone who's used the Storm Call shout knows exactly what I mean there. :cryvaultboy:
