Your Favorite Companion And Why? : Fallout: New Vegas

For me it's currently Boone. I haven't found any other usable companions other then Veronica and Cass atm but they both svck! I'm an unarmed specialist and figured... hey Cass's DT perk would help... but it doesn't make a lot of difference and her shotgun dmg is weak as hell on hardcoe/Very Hard, so i got her killed and switched back to Boone. Veronica for me is useless since it's hardcoe and if she dies.. she dies forever which is going to happen sooner then later... and making her wait somewhere is useless too cuz then you can't use her crafting perk lol.

I picked ED-E as he's the only one I have so far as.

I like going it alone early on.

I've only had Boone, Rex, and Cass. Haven't encountered the rest.. though I have found Raul's shack but he's not there. [shrug]

My favorite is Cass because she's the only one I've been able to keep alive (Boone died) and has some decent fighting skill (Rex svcks).

Also, I'm pretty sure if you tell one of them to "wait" somewhere and wander off you'll still get their perk because they are your companion.. just not following you at the moment. I told Rex to wait outside the Kings' place and left for probably 2 days before it told me he would return to The King (where I could go get him again) and I'd lost his perk.

Yea you still keep companion perk's if they wait somewhere, but it's useless if you use Veronica cuz you have to actually talk to her to use her crafting perk. She's OG on regular since companions can't die.. but she's just a feeder in hardcoe mode.

Cass. I think I'm in love. She's awesome. I like it when we drink together. If we have 10 whiskeys each and I take one, we're both down on 9 each. Also she have some badass lines. And the looks? Oh my God the looks! Me with my half long blonde hair, sunglasses, sheriff's hat and grimy suit/Benny's suit and her cowgirl outfit... Cass <3

Also, you can have one person and then add Rex or ED-D. That's an army right there. At least on easy. No need to worry about carry capacity ever again!

Mainly been running with Boone+Ed-E to get their quests done, but once Ed-E was down for upgrading, i got Rex.
He did pretty good, not sure why people would cal him weak. He took down a Nightkin all on his own on very hard. His knockdown attack is incredibly overpowered.

Gonna have to switch Boone out when visiting Caesar though.

I got rex, he's the only one i have so far. he does some serious damage, and he can knock enemies down. on the other hand, he charges blindly at enemies, and since there isn't much of a "threat" system like in WoW, the AI will attack the nearest enemy, so it is best to get him to stand by if you are hunting deathclaws.

ED-E had me paranoid every time I saw a red indicator, I didn't know what I was gonna come up against, then I'd discover that the threat yards away.

Rex doesn't have any guns

Boone's perk is very useful but I can't start his quest and that's pissing me off

Veronica wants to punch everything and she's dressed like a hobo

Haven't spent any time with Lily, Raul or Arcade so at the moment Cass is my choice of companion, she looks great, uses a great weapon and her dialog is great.

Veronica rocks, yeah all she wants to do is punch things but she gets the job! I went to the nrccf and she took out nearly all of the powder gangers by her self, and left me to pick up all their goodies

ED-E and Raul.
Raul because he knows how to handle himself in battle and isn't too powerful, ahem, Boone <_<.
And ED-E because I leave him at my house in Novac and still have the perk, so I don't need to worry about him dying and I get a good head start to know when enemies are around and can easily use my Gauss Rifle from a mile away to take them out.

Cass, because she has great dialogue, and keeps asking for whiskey. She reminds me of Sydney :hugs: I want her outfit though... *jealous*

Boone annoys me with his Clint Eastwood act. And the fact that he kills everything before I even see it on my radar. I sent him home in the end, miserable b**ger.

Ed-E is kind-of useless, but I'm keeping it around because I'm fascinated to learn what its mission is. And he doubles as a flying backpack.

Haven't come across the others yet, aside from Rexxy.

My favorite Companion is Maria. I take her everywhere with me. Arcade tags along for when Maria fails tro keep me safe.

Favorite companion to have in a fight is Boone. Favorite to travel with and talk to is Veronica.

I really wish we could simply have two companions instead of 1-human. Then I could laugh at Veronica's sarcastic comments while Boone snipes everything.

There is a mod on the nexus to up the number of followers to 12. Doesn't help console folks, but PC peeps might consider it

Boone is one of my favorites, mostly because I think he is a really good character. I've completed his quest, which was pretty fun especially if you are a Legion-killer. Other than him, Cass is pretty awesome for obvious reasons. I have most of the companions at the Lucky 38, and I switch them out whenever I feel like it. The only humanoid I don't have there is Lily, I think.

i don't like Boone, he doesn't seem to open up to the player... just some shut off boring GI type. i think. he might be the best for combat but story & character development mean much more to me.

I guess he has no character.

I wanted to like Rex... but no matter if i tell him to not be aggressive, he always runs off very far to attack some stupid irrelevant enemy.

I like Ed-E because he makes cute little squeaky noises and plays silly music when things happen. :hehe:
