Danse and X6 are probably my favs. X6 more so since I can act like a dike and he doesn't care. Hell, sometimes he enjoys my dikeish ways. :P

I couldn't give two hoots about Curie, Piper or Cait, so no vote from me.

Nick will always be better than Piper in my books. He's like my metal grandpa.

I've travelled with Dogmeat, Cosworth, Nick, Preston, Cait, Hancock, Curie, and Piper so far. I guess I like Dogmeat, Cait, and Curie the best because I tend to rotate among those three. I just met Deacon, so I'll run with him for a while and see. I do love to watch Cait shred the bad guys with the Furious Power Fist, though. Looks like she is really enjoying herself.

Cait and Codsworth, sometimes Curie. She's adorable.

Dogmeat. Always. Three GSDs share their lives with me, and nobody is as ever happy to see me as they are.

Plus he doesn't do repetitive reaction lines, and never blocks my shots.

Even though I loved the Cattle Dog canine from FO3 to death (but not in the weird way) for obvious reasons; this Dogmeat with his cute, less scruffy appearance and somewhat naive demeanor really grew on me over time.

Curie, Nick and Piper are very likeable, cool characters. But I can't leave my mutt behind. Sorry guys.

...and that part was a wink to the fact that Stephen Russell is the bloody original master thief. From, uh, Thief.

If you look at the differences between Mr. Handy, Nick Valentine and Garrett, I'd say that's an amazing range.

My current play through is an SS who is going to lone wolf it. Only bothering with companions so I can grind their affinity to max and get the perks.

So none of them... I guess? Yay for being alone! *sobs*

Seriously though:

Favorite: Nick. Codsworth if the next DLC allows us up to upload him into a body more suitable for combat. Like a Sentry Bot!

Least favorite: Cait. I find it odd how many people criticize Piper for being annoying but seem to forget Cait. Her range of disapproval is worse than Strong, the accent sounds forced, and her frequent use of the word "me" in places it shouldn't be just gets on my nerves.

Curie, Deacon, X6-88. All of which had fit into my character's story quite well.

I like Curie primarily because of her romance story. I've always found it interesting when something synthetic becomes more sentient and feels emotion. Thought it was a perfect fit for my character.

Deacon, despite his and the Railroad's ultimate fate in the end, made for a good best bud for my character and shared a lot in common. During my character's time in the Railroad, he was a good companion. Made End of the Line all the harder to do for my character.

X6-88 is just stone cold and someone you can rely on and trust to the very end once you earn his loyalty. Made for a good replacement after Deacon, and he doesn't lie and make [censored] up so that's always nice not to deal with.

Not too fond of either Nick or Piper. Too goody two-shoes for my taste. Though the same can be said for Curie, she doesn't nag when the Institute take over.

I'll only vote for dogmeat, but the software on the poll won't let me, so I guess I'm not voting.

1. Curie is adorable and cute. Nick Valentine is just a cool Synth.

2. Dogmeat because I love dogs, GSDs in particular.

3. Curie again, is just a fun character to be around with. Piper and Cait are just a tad bit too annoying for me.

4. Nick Valentine again specifically because he has pre-war memories and is just more empathetic to be with.

Nick Valentine was the best thing in Fallout 4 to me.

I hate Preston Garvey and what he stands for (busy work boring radiant [censored]) with a passion.

Codsworth is a bro, love him too.

BTW I wish we could transfer Codsworth to a synth body as well.

I don't like piper. I find her super annoying and pushy.

I am a female.. How about a None option for the middle bunch..

Cait, Curie, Piper, NONE of the above.. Yeah

For me so far: Codsworth, and Strong. Those are my guys.. I will probably try Nick this time too.

-edit-

The dog is cute but I find him super annoying when he finds packs of enemies.. "Your dog has found something!" In horror your eyes open wide to see 1000 rad roaches stampeding towards your level 1 character. No doggie.. go home..

Stay safe in your doghouse so you won't get me killed.

Piper and Nick are my favorites, but I also like Curie, Cait, Dogmeat and Codsworth.

I don't hate Preston as much as some do, but he's not exactly endearing, either. I simply don't care for Danse, MaCready, Strong or X6-88.

Deacon is a strange one to peg. He is likable and often amusing but certain characteristics make him unacceptable.

I've never recruited Hancock, and probably never will for reasons that would better be suited to the spoiler section.

Which really is a shame, because he looked like a total badass when they introduced him in early marketing material.

If Old Man Stockton ever got made into a Synth, that'd be Codsworth.

I like Cait as a companion, what she likes and doesn't like seems to jive best with me. I put Nora's ring on her, but it didn't feel right, so I went to Piper and put it on her (she didn't even say anything, what??). She's my true love, sooo spunky, but she's a little too goody two shoes to hang with in the commonwealth (and weak).

I'm surprised Curie is so high up there, but I havent progressed in her storyline at all. She is fairly good with her lasers, seems to be able to carry A LOT, the french accent is nice, and I love when she says "further hostilities are unadvised" or something like that. PS if you go to Bunker Hill with her she references the revolutionary war battle that was there, I thought that was really cool.

Anyway, I picked Cait in the first question and Piper in the question comparing the 3 because I assumed that was more about which female character would you be most attracted to as opposed to who you'd prefer to quest with...

Steam says 504 hours (my second playthrough) and I have yet to meet this "Curie"...

But she doesn't have much chance of dethroning my beloved cured Cait.

yeah, I wish we could give them soap or build a shower or something to clean their dirty faces. It doesn't work to dress a settler lady in a red sparkling evening dress when she has farming dirt all over her mug!

woah, did the patch fix Preston for you? He still won't run with me after the patch

lol, good one

What does you being female have to do with the way you answer?

The way you answer is your preference, not necessarily that of your gender's.

Just saying.

Only when starting a new game. The games he was previously bugged in still won't work.
