your favorite fallout 3 quest

Ah! I forget the name... The quest in Point Lookout you get from obidiah, and have to return to the D.C. area to complete the quest, love it! The only warning you get about where you have to go is from that lady who says she's sorry you have to go there. When you get to the dunwitch building, you find out its like the creepiest place in the game. Not to mention, I felt the ending of the quest left alot of open questions... How and why is there that chamber below the building is mine..

That quest was brilliant :D I remember before PL was released I looked at the obelisk in the bottom of the Dunwich building wondering why it was there! It's a shame she died :( but I always used to give it obidiah, get the reward, watch him go to his creepy basemant and pray, then blow his head off with the terrible shotgun :D then went to DB

I was kind of dissapointed they didn't elaborate on DB more... Theres a sort of epicness about the building.

Those [censored] robots...as soon as I saw that wig-wearing-good-for-nothing-robot, I took out my missile launcher and blasted it into smithereens.

The only time I can say I didn't care for getting Bad Karma.

Suicide Watch (if you take the evil solution.)

Otherwise, Reilly's Rangers.

Yes! Tranquility Lane was the best next to Trouble on the Homefront.

Stealing Independance (it was enjoyable and I know a lot about history which made it that much more enjoyable for me), Trouble on the Homefront (I liked learning what happened after I left the vault and the political war that has been raging ever since), and the Pitt as a whole (no need to explain).

EDIT: Almost forgot Tranquility Lane (such a unique (why does that sound better than an unique? English is very odd) quest that was very well made and enjoyable).

I missed something important I see. I NEVER got to the Reilly's Rangers quest. I could never get it started. :(. I restarted this game with 4 different characters. Just never got it.

My favorite was the Lincoln memorial one. (the name escapes me). You lead a bunch of ppl there and stuff. I just liked it alot.

Maybe on my new computer I should try that Reilly's Rangers again.. you guys make me nostalgic. I LOVED FO3.

I'd have to say Head Of State, as you have the choice to be a righteous man, who saves escaped slaves to freedom, under Abraham Lincoln to start their own civilization. Point Lookout quests, as well. Anything to do with the political nation of Fallout, I love. Also, any merciless survival tactic quests, I love as well. No wonder I dislike Fallout NV...

Fallout 3 = Pure wasteland, with civilizations in need of food and various water beggars. Trying to survive with a more realistic setting and even head on, ambitious characters who fight for their remaining nation, with the hope of one day, regaining purity and life.

Fallout NV = Luxury. Yes, some of it still has a minor-like setting of a wasteland, but all they did, was keep it in the Mojave desert, which basically WOULD ALREADY BE a wasteland, even without a nuclear hit. The problem isn't with it being in the Mojave. It's the fact that Obsidian basically abandoned the whole Fallout feel, with the Strip being displayed freely, in people being luxorious in their stays and that sort of up-beat type of lifestyle. They could've done so much less(which would make it more, in quality) with NV.

The Mojave was a massive wasteland at one point, but with both Mr.House revitalizing The strip and the NCR moving in it allowed massive colonization along with merchants like the Crimson caravan and Gun Runners, nobody in D.C. tries to really make anything like that. Sure you get the traveling merchants but they only carry small stock at a time. Thats the biggest difference between the two games, Fallout 3's wasteland is pure Anarchy, where-as New Vegas has many viable reasons for it not to seem as "chaotic" as you put it.

Also saying Obsidian screwed up the whole wasteland feel is like saying chickens dont know how to lay egg's right, Obsidian has ALOT of people from Interplay which created the Fallout series. If anything New Vegas keeps closer to the original games then Fallout 3 does, and progresses the story of the Post-Apocalyptic hell known as Fallout.

I don't think he's referring to the Strip. Anyone who has even taken a glimpse at New Vegas knows it survived the Great war. I'm pretty sure he's talking about the Mojave as a whole.

Fallout 3 stands apart from the rest of the games, in mostly positive ways in my opinion, and a few negative ways.

True, I think only 3 of the nukes that were aimed and Vegas hit, but that's also one of the factors into the fact that the Mojave is more colonized and "civilized" (I use that with a grain of salt) compared to D.C.

And having played NV for so long then going back to FO3 really made me realize that, the only things I really think NV has over 3 is the iron sights and better companion A.I. (along with writing, but I'm talking gameplay mechanics) other then that FO3 is awesome. Bethesda def hit the nail right on the head when they made it, and as long as they keep the good things that Obsidian threw in with NV I think FO4 will be a masterpiece.

After ponder all of the above & thinking of all my attempts at playing(I'd say 20+) my favorite is survival guide because every play it's my 1st quest I go after usually by the time I finish I'm lvl 20. Making a perfect is always such a challenge 4 me...I get so easily sidetracked. & hearing dog rave about me & my awsum book is groovy 2 da max!!!

'You Gotta Shoot 'Em in the Head' is, I think, my favourite, probably because I like those stories where there's a history involved. When I opened those doors for the first time - 'opened with Dave's special key', 'opened with Dukov's special key' - the whole story came alive for me: the five youthful adventurers setting off decades ago to make their fortunes, the four survivors of the mission's failure going their separate ways to carve out their own lives in the Wasteland, each keeping one small memento of their shared past. Good romantic stuff.

LOL yea, you and me both! I also liked that a lot. I felt like I was transported into a 50's TV series. :D

I really liked Reilly's Rangers, because not only do I help out a group of cool people, but I get my fav armor in the game as a reward. :)

Guns of Anchorage was pretty intense and I liked to step back into the "old world". Plus, you got some cool gear at the end. (Stealth suite <3)

Call me crazy, but I liked the whole Wasteland Survival Guide chain. LOL
