Your Favorite Moments

I really really really love this game!

I have it on both PC and 360 and I can't have enough of it and I have some really satisfying moments with it.

My favorite class is operative. I swear man, it gives sooo much pleasure to ruin an engineers day. Sneaking behind by using disguise then setup some caltrop and sticky bomb traps, hack their turrets and just pretty much catch them by surprise as they try to hold a choke point. Nothing more fun than seeing them scream fuuuuuuuuuuuuu I lost my turret haha.

What is your favorite class and what makes you go damn that was fun?

Closing minutes of container city. Light Operative, i disguise, slip past enemy defences, snatch the virus & run! Im gunned down just before I can escape but a medic gets me straight up & an advancing soldier gives me covering fire while I leg it away. Win!

Similar moment, again end of container city. Were defending virus when its snatched from under our noses as the whole enemy team rushes us. I leap off bridge & chase after the carrier, bullets pinging from the walls beside me as i hare it after this guy. Only gun I have ammo for is a shotgun & hes outta range so I stop trying to hit him & just give chase. Im getting wounded from behind but JUST manage to slide into cover. Carrier makes it up to helipad seconds before I tackle him & put him down in the last 3 seconds of the game. Im killed a moment after but the game is ours. Intense lol

Operative because: I can run freely among the enemy. Secondary, because of the disguise-ambush (that's where you're behind a group of enemies, melee the one in the back, sticky-bomb him, then either throw caltrops or spray the rest of the group with a close-range, high-damage weapon)

End of CCity for me too!

Sneaking in cautiously to the bioweapon container while Disguised, and waiting, knowing my teammates are about to blow the shortcut door. I know there's 3 players on the Resistance side, and I'm the only one on Security....

When the door blows, two people jump out from above me, running into the breached path and trying to seal it off, while the bots are already camping that route ready for the assault to happen.

I quickly snatch the case, and run the long way around, dropping Caltrops behind me to either slow any pursuit or warn me of it. As I'm reaching the friendly side of the shortcut, I encounter my first enemy, who's half-dead and armed with a shotgun - I burst-fire at him before he's close enough to get a solid hit - land the headshot and he's down. Keep running. As I'm about to reach the objective, "He looks like me! ENEMY OPERATIVE!" OH $#&%!!!! - there's an enemy HEAVY with a minigun spooling up RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!!!

I open fire, and start a strafe-slide, hoping against hope... my burst lands a good number of shots in the target's chest, before the loud BANG of an unsuppressed Barnett - another player had joined while I was running back to the base, and was just coming out of the spawn in time to save my life... I love this game. (next round, I went Medic and basically camped that guy the whole match - he didn't die once...)

HAHA I had some intense matches last night in a pub game none the less.

First game in Aquarium since the opposition was playing defense they knew where the cripple was going to go so they setup a horrible choke point with four turrets right at the door way. They where awesome keeping us stuck in there. I tried everything as an operative, but they where playing really close so my disguise wasn't working to much. I didn't have an EMP grenade so I couldn't hack or disable the bots. We lost horribly, but it was intense.

Next game pops up it was the mission where security has to break the compounds to rescue the cripple (I forgot the name). They where owning us, I mean the instantly breached the door and they hacked the safe withing ridiculous minutes. I was getting a bit stressed, but our team wised up.

Since they had to carry the codes to the door, it was our turn to give them a taste of their own medicine. So I switched to Engineer and we protected the hell of that control board. Turrets on bushes, tons of mines and the team was just putting pressure on them but they knew that the wall of turrets and snipers where waiting at their objective. They where stuck there for the duration of the fight on the balcony with the package trying to destroy turrets, snipe, infiltrate and hack but they failed as our team SMITE them down to the ground.

It felt so good to give them a taste of their own medicine. I slept like a baby last night.

(CO OP/ Hard mode)

I had 15 rounds left in my DOOM edition Bulp when i reached the Avionics upload point on mission 8 - Airborne.

Being a Soldier i had Molotovs which were still regenerating, useless in my situation at the moment thanks to the ambush set up by two mediums, no grenades either so i refilled my ammo and hoped my team mates where ready to give support fire. as i ran across the floor towards the upload station 3 more mediums and a lightweight came running down the ramps to the right gunning for my team mates who were still held up behind the cargo shipments on the left side of the hangar, turning there attention to me after they ripped my team apart.

I whipped around the south side of the plane (Bot spawn point) just to escape the incoming fire from the mob. Throwing my regenerated molotov i managed to knock down a group of bots at the same time allowing me to rally hot lead across the map hopefully killing them off, i only succeeded with 3 bots until mags ran dry so out came the Seagle, i had to duck and dodge incoming grenades while popping out to send a few bullets down range as the relentless group which just received reinforcements intend on tearing me a new one by advancing on my position in rapid formation.

A soldier can only refill his supply once its ready and i still had a few seconds left before i could refill again... my fate was almost sealed as i slapped in the last pistol clip. That is until i heard the monstrous roar of a fully automatic death machine spinning up which would make chuck norris [censored] his pants.

Leaning around the corner like a defenseless civilian caught up in a crossfire i saw a Resistance Heavy walk calmly down the ramp wielding the Gotlung covering the whole group in a volley of hot lead, by this time my other team mates were right behind him so i was able to run out and finally complete the mission with 23 secs left on the clock.

All this happened in a split second, the action in Brink grabs you by the balls and refuses to let go in my opinion, quick thinking and having team mates who can use the classes to there advantage can make this game intense.

I also have a gameplay saved from Container City in a pub co op match which had an epic battle with the bots on Hard mode, we managed to push them back from the start of the mission and kept them there... it was pretty intense.

If you would like to watch that particular gameplay heres the link to my youtube channel - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlOIvzNFDWc

Simply, winning the round in the final minutes of the match, you know it's a damn good game when it gets down to " 1 minute brothahs!" and you pull it off

Getting the [censored] stomped out of me on Container City Versus as Security, barely making it through each objective before time ran out... then with a minute left on the clock to get the bioweapon/vaccine, sprinting recklessly through the blown barricade, taking the right stairs and following that path to jump over the heads of Resistance into the container, grabbing it... and then (as a Medium) sprinting like a madman as the bullets fly left, right and center, each ally I pass quickly jumping in behind me to prevent me getting shot, getting up to the gate, being brought to the BRINK of death as the enemy sprays wildly to try and take me down... and finishing it with 15 seconds left on the clock and a throbbing red health bar.

I was playing Day 3 of the Security campaign (Airport). The first two objectives are always so easy but getting the data to the upload point is always a struggle. We keep making a push for it but time is running out. I have the case and I'm trying to flank my way into the main door. The countdown starts, "I'm scrapping this mission in 5... 4... 3..." The guy guarding the upload goes down! It's a clear path to the terminal so I run for it. "2... 1..." I activate the terminal and begin uploading the data. The game goes in to overtime and I cannot believe it. I start getting hit from the side but I can't even see how many there are or if anyone on my team is up because I cannot take my eyes off the progress wheel. It hits 100% and I glance up to see my one pip of health left before the victory cut scene kicks in.

That mission is such a hard one that it's always great to win it, but I will never forget that win.

Airport on Hard with a few friends and some enemy humans. Some of the enemy had decided to hide back by the data collection point as we were returning it, and as my buddy with the package was returning it he was starting to get ambushed. I saw a Lobster shot from my friend knock down a few players but another was running up to the retriever with his SMG blaring. My buddy was taking damage and I was watching the % marker fill and time seemed to slow down...

I pulled up my Sniper, and swept it across the screen... I notice the Damage Buff icon come up... my friend is about to die and he's shouting down the mic... and I take the shot. 1 shot headshot kill on the guy to win the day in the final percentages.

Felt like I was in a movie.

Had just swapped back to Medic, and held the crane on I think its shipyard, by cover fire and healing my team mates like there was no tomorrow. I didn't die in the first half of the game or more. In the end i ran out of bullets, when I kind soldier then gave me some I died like 10 seconds later, lol. :(

I spent 6 minutes meleeing dudes to death defending the door on the Prison Defence as Security.
It was pretty epic, I got healed a few times. But those Soldiers were being snobby with ammo.

Pretty great when I slide kicked three dudes and melee'd two to death as the third was shot up.

Oh man the cortex bomb kills are the most fun. Is like an FU buddy for killing me.

This one guy shot me down and knew I had a cortex bomb so we kept playing the cha cha with him going back and forth trying to stomp me and me blowing him up. By the third cha cha he decided to go for it and I blew up is face. Not sure why he didn't just shoot me to death but it was funny. BEEP BEEP BEEP stop BEEP BEEP BEEP stop BEEP BEEP BEEP BOOOOOM! I loled

And the overtime matches are sick as hell. Aquarium trying to place the HE charge on 3, 2, 1 it's on OVERTIME now we MUST defend this and while I can think the other team is yelling obscenities, they get frantic and just start making mistakes and die like lemmings. Charge explodes and we move on hahaha good times.

Played Early Launch (Iaka Shipyard) Online the other day as Security. We got all the way to the hacking part and I dug my Heavy Engy in to defend that area. Our Operatives started the Hack and everything was going along smoothly. I managed to get myself owned but got back there fast enough to keeping anything too terrible from happening. Shortly after one of our operatives died then the other one did. So I'm left trying to hold this stupidly hard to defend position... pretty much by myself since Ally Bots are next to useless most of the time. The most idiotic player is usually of more help... but hey we knew this and it's nto part of my story.
So me and Terri the Turret, that's what my Engy calls his turret, ... shutup, are busy trying not to die and well, not doing so great a job at it. My health is pretty steadily dropping and I'm starting to get worried, but so long as I'm not dead I'm distracting other Engy's away from the hackbox. The most important thing at the moment. Right when I'm about to die... the Operatives roll in, we mop up the last few Fascists and they finish the Hack.
I got to feel all awesome and squishly inside for holding down the fort long enough for backup to arrive.

It's really not the most exciting story I realize. But if you've ever played on PSN with 'D_Ed_Poole' you know I'm not particularly skilled at this game. So for me to wind up in this kind of critical situation and to somehow pull it off, it's left me in that "ZOMG THAT WAS AWESOME!" state for quite a while. :D

Prison Break-Resistance

I was an operative and was hacking the safe, when I almost get downed and see the entire enemy team climbing up the stairs to stop me. I threw a stick grenade and caltrop right in the center of the doorway. Caltrop lowered most of their health, and the sticky finished them up. 1 guy was left and walked up to me to finish me off, but i used the cortex bomb and got him.

This made me smile when my friend showed up about 20 seconds later and saw all the bodies on the ground and said "Dude, wtf happened here?!?"
