Your Favorite Skyrim Daedric Prince?

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 5:09 am

Mine : Molag Bal. He is the closest to a demon in TES. I was sooo pleased in Skyrim, his Daedric Quest is awesome. His voice is SOOO epic it sent shivers down my spine. I had to make a new character and make him a mace-user because of Molag Bal. He made me realise that Maces are awesome. The other Daedric Princes need to take example of Molag Bal.

"Rusted. Dry. There was a time when this mace dripped with the blood of the feeble and the worthless." - Molag Bal.

If you think he is the only classically demonic figure amongst the Daedra then you haven't seen Sanguine.

Yep I got drunk in Skyrim and I've seen Sanguine yesterday as a matter of fact :P He looks demonic but his armor takes from that 'demonic factor'. Not that Daedric Armor doesn't look demonic, but Molag Bal is mostly depicted 'nvde', as in without armor. This makes him look more demonic, and less human.

The http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:OB-quest-Sanguine.jpg from OB is a better depiction of Sanguine, lore wise at least.

Sheogorath, ever since Morrowind it was him, still is. Oh and Oblivion's quest for him was fun, then Shivering Isles and...seriously, utterly brilliant, so fun.

Daedra arn't evil, they are just. Different. To Man and Mer, in saying that I like Peryite.
While he is seen as the spreader of plague and pestilence, really it is just his method for placing things back in order. That and keeping all the lesser Daedra in check.

Not to mention his boon "Spellbreaker" is pretty amazing.

...How many Daedric Princes do you meet in Skyrim? As in, in the flesh? Just give me a number.

I only know of:
Spoiler

Nocturnal
Sheogorath
Sanguine

As for favorite? Probably Nocturnal.

SO!? She's the Daedric Prince of Night/Darkness and apparently Luck. Sheogorath can't compete. CAN'T. COMPETE.

Plus, she's pretty indifferent. Which is refreshing compared to all of the personality extremes the others have.

I hate them all. My character is an atheist and like me, refuses to believe in the existence of higher beings. This is like shoving beliefs in his and mine throat. I know it's just a game, but I find it offensive.

The only problem with being an "athiest" in Skyrim is it's utterly pointless. The Aedra/Daedra interact with the common people on a daily basis. In skyrim, you can't make the argument that the god's don't exist. One guy did. That one guy is dead. (But he was driven insane by Vaermina and Sheogorath.)

You could always be like Else God-Hater. She hates the gods. All of them.

It's just a game, so its not real. How can it be offensive? It's also an RPG soit all comes down to choice, you could be an athiest if you want, you could easily avoid all the churches if you wanted. I fail to see how this can be such a problem.
Anyway.. My favourite is Molag Bal! Most defenitly. He is such an interesting character. :D
I love the concept of having god's and deadra in the game, and I like the story and complexity behind them all. Really helps make the world become It's own.

You do realize it is pointless to deny the existence of the Aedra and Daedra in the TES universe, right? They regularly effect Nirn, but daedra more so than aedra. You can hate them, but trying to deny their existence is just pointless.

Atheism FTW! Atheists unite! *o*

*completely lost it*

I'll play a Mara freak in my next playthrough, but right now I'd rather enjoy my atheist "deities hater".
