Morrowind
Skyrim
Oblivion

Oblivion is on here only because Daggerfall wasn't an option.

Morrowind. It's just so calm compared to the other two, and I like that. It does not give that dramatic expression that Oblivion and Skyrim does.

I'm not saying the other two are bad, I had a hard time deciding between Morrowind and Skyrim. :P

Whilst I find Morrowind's theme the most iconic of the three right now, I never really liked how loud and blaring it sounded - and it constantly chiming in as you adventured throughout dungeons somewhat lessened its emotional effect on me. Oblivion's is the complete opposite - it's loud and memorable for about 20 seconds, and after that the rest is just filler I can hardly care about.

Skyrim's is the perfect balance of the two - the weight of Oblivion's theme, with all of the woodwinds and flourishes of Morrowind's. Sounds very alive without overdoing it.

I hope the Skyrim theme we heard so far was a remix for the trailer (so the narrator doesn't have to compete with the music). It's a bit lacking right now, but has the potential to be the greatest of all - if it had more lyrics, the 4-liner is a bit short for the epic build-up.

It's tough for me to choose between Morrowind and Skyrim.

I love Morrowind's theme, but there's a certain nostalgia connected to it, as it brings back so many great memories from the game. I think it is the most moody of the three.

But then, Skyrim's theme has such a great buildup. It has my favorite crescendo of the three, but I don't have a world to connect it to yet.

For now I'll say Morrowind, but it might change after I actually get to spend time with Skyrim.

Not that I didn't like Oblivion's, as it was very good and appropriate for the game's theme. But I have to go with Morrowind's title theme. It just felt more high fantasy and adventure to me.

Morrowind had the better theme, Oblivion had the better in-game music (as a whole). they both have pretty bad combat songs.

Honestly, the people on these boards treat Jeremy Soule's work as though it's a gift from God himself. It's just not that great. Really.

That said, however, I still prefer Morrowind's theme. Mostly for the nostalgia of it, and the fact that Oblivion's theme was too loud and blaring (it would have been appropriate during some spectacular moment of the game, but not at the start menu, every single time I started the game).

Edit: I will say Skyrim's theme is quite good, despite it being totally cheesy and cliché, what with all the choral chanting and such. I can still see it getting quite old if I'm forced to listen to it at the start menu every time again.

Skyrim's theme has nothing on Morrowind's. Morrowind's triggers my addiction to that game and when I give in and it starts, I will still listen to intro in full before playing.

I just loved the whole Morrowind soundtrack, all the tracks. The main theme was stuck in my head for two whole years, and it still turns up every now and then when I'm just chilling or pondering or when I'm just feeling nostalgic.

Oblivion's I liked a bit less. But that may have to do with the fact that I found Oblivion less immersive as a whole. I'm not sure whether the music has anything to do with that really, because the tracks on their own are just sublime. I think the game itself detracted from the music for me.

But: I voted for Skyrim's track. It's time for a change of tune. Jeremy Soule is extremely talented, so I'm sure it will be epic.

Morrowind, mainly because I haven't heard a clear, full version of Skyrims yet so I'm not including it. Oblivions sounds like a mix between Morrowind and Pirates of the Caribbean, though I do prefer it's in-game music.

My exact thoughts. I did love the Oblivion soundtrack tho.

Bah, I was gonna write a ridiculously long post, but let's keep it short:

I like the Skyrim theme most. I mostly value the Morrowind theme out of nostalgic value I believe, so I'll roll with Skyrim.

Did I ever claim anything to the contrary? No, I didn't.

Unless specifically stated, one can assume that anything anybody says on these boards, or any other boards for that matter, is all personal opinion. C'mon, now..

Morrowind, and I can't say Skyrim cause I haven't really heard the title them, and won't for a while.

Cool, then you admit that it's possible Jeremy Soule could in fact be "that great," and that the rest of the community (along with BGS) isn't under some type of delusion. Thanks.

For me the avatar is just distracting and bothersome, I got pretty bad ADD and it′s really annoying for me to try and read posts here when people have avatars flashing and moving constantly, if I could I would ignore that user so I wouldn′t have to see his avatar again, and if I can please tell me how to do it.

On topic I chose Skyrim since I like Skyrim more for when I want something powerful and Morrowind more when I want something calm and melodic, but Morrowind was winning so I just decided to go with Skyrim, it represents my option that I look at them as equals. I don′t like the Oblivion one so much though.

Of course. To me, he's not that great, which is what I said. To you, or anyone else, he could be any number of things, including great. Opinion is opinion. :)
