Wish you could get a silenced submachine gun in F3. Most of the silenced weapons do only a modest amount of damage.

You might want to look into Weapon Mod Kits on Fallout3nexus, Oddish. Seems like that would be the answer to what you're looking for. Gives you silenced SMGs, silenced assault rifles, silenced sniper rifles...

Personally I'm still playing vanilla (though there's a cross repair mod that I'm thinking of adding as well as one that makes assault rifles more rifle-like), and I haven't made it through all the weapons yet, so for now my favorite is the good, old sniper rifle. Sure, the uniques may be better than the default, but it's so awesome when you tag some enemy in the face and the head goes flying. Technically it should explode rather than being torn off, but I can live with that. Second place has to be the combat shotgun. That thing rocks in tearing a new [censored] on anything that tries to fight at point blank range.

Hmmmm probably the reservist rifle or victory rifle (just wish they actually had a proper sniper rifle range), followed shortly by lincon's repeater.

I don't think there is actually any weapon in the game that I don't really like (so far collected almost all the ranged weapons but not many H2H ones yet). I don't use explosives or big guns very often but that's mainly because I like to sneak around shooting from a distance.

Cool thought, but I use a PS3.

I like the Zhu-Rong Chinese Pistol. It looks stylish, and it does better damage then the regular Chinese pistol. Plus it does fire damage, though it svcks that it isn't effected by the Pryomaniaz Perk.

I also like the Ant's Sting. Poison weapons are cool, and I'm a melee kind of guy.

Lincoln repeater comes in at #2 or 3 for me. My fav would be the railway rifle... pinning body parts to a nearby wall or whatever is cool.

The Railway Rilfe is my favorite. Pure awesomesauce in a box. (yes, I just said awesomesauce)

I don’t normally use energy weapons, because (IMHO) it makes the game a little too easy, but when I do –
Protectron’s Gaze (early game)
Gauss Rifle (whole game – and one of the best, of any type!)
A3-21 or Tri-Beam (late game) [I keep trying the Metal Blaster, but end up returning to one of the others]

Big Guns – I’m trying to use more on latter characters I’ve played. I love missile launchers, and the mini-gun (Eugene). The Gat Laz is a badmamajama no doubt, but I find most “big guns” a little too slow for my taste – but I’m trying and may come around yet. There is definitely something to be said for cranking up a Gatlazer and aiming a “beam of death” at your foe – provided you’ve got enough ammo.

The weapons I use no matter when, how, or what type of character I’m playing is mines, the Dart Gun, & Blackhawk.

Its a 4 way tie between The Victory rifle, The Perforater, Experimental MIRV and Vengence.

Experimental MIRV is just a plan fun weapon.

But, my all time favorite is the Perforator (90 Steel Ingots). Scoped for range. Silenced for the sneaky moments in my life. Full auto for those assault moments. and uses 5.56, of which i have over 24,000 of (thx to the pitt for turning all 90,000 of my 5mm into something useful.)

every now and then i like to use the Eugene Minigun or the Vengance Gatlaz just to mess around.

The sniper rifle, and the plasma rifle are my two favorite weapons. No matter how many characters I make, I have to set them up with those two weapons asap. I used to like the shot guns up until playing through Mothership Zeta, and Point Lookout - the shotguns dont seem to do much on enemies compared to regular humans.

I usually seem to follow a sort of progression, for weapons and armor both.

Armor: Vault jumpsuit -> Security jumpsuit -> Armored V101 jumpsuit -> Talon armor -> Ranger armor
Weapon: Bat -> 10mm -> Laser pistol -> A3-21 Rifle
OR: Bat -> 10mm -> Chinese assault rifle -> Xuanlong OR Lincoln Repeater

gatling laser, eats up ammo like you guys drink water (in real life, not fallout) and is expensive, but itll waste a behemoth before you say ow, i got eaten.

If you create a character with high small guns skill & build it up throughout the game, the combat shotgun, assault rifle & sydney's sub machine gun work very well against a broad range of enemies even against the human based enemies in point lookout & they are tough.

telsa cannon, hands down, but if i had to choose a gun it would be lincoln repeater or XAR, Xuanlong assault rifle.

sorry.... but Vengeance Gatling laser blows plasma away.
example: enclave trooper and I opened fire same time -
he was dead before the plasma shot past me.

Some may agree but I suspect most will disagree but my favorite weapons is the Hunting Rife

I fell in love with thelever-action rifle in Point Lookout, then i found the Backwater rifle and used that for a while.
Then switched to the Sniper, but its not really any fun to use because it does so little damage.

My last favorite weapon is the Blackhawk. Mannn this gun is sick! But the ammo runs out pretty quick if youre having fun

For me I have a few. A3 21 plasma rifle, railway rife, Heavy Incinerator and the Lincons Repeater :flamethrower:

Where did you find the Lincoln's repeater at? I have been looking all over the map and still haven't found it.

It's located inside the Museum of History, which can be found in the Mall. Takes some digging, but it's well worth the effort.

Ol' Painless as I like the hunting rifle but it's a far superior version

I also love using the railway rifle though rarely do because bullets are rare

Big Guns: Rock-It Launcher (just collect books to get the money)
Small Guns: Lincoln's Repeater, Xuanlong Rifle, The Kneecapper
Melee weapons: Shishkebab
