Your Favorite Winterhold mods?

Post » Sat Aug 06, 2016 3:17 am

Hello everyone,

I am in the process of trying to mod the perfect Winterhold. Its proving pretty impossible to go through all the vast amount of mods and try and test each one. Then I got thinking; the largest resource available to me was the community so I thought I would ask you all; what are your favorite WinterHold mods?

Now you may be asking what am I trying achieve here?

Firstly, for those of you who don't know me, I love making lists of mods. Thats the aim here. I am trying to make a list of mods for Winterhold that all work together.

Secondly: This is not just about Winterhold, its about Winterhold the City, Winterhold the Collage and Winterhold the Hold.

So if you have a mod that touches upon on of those or all three that you cant play without I would love to hear from you! What is your favorite house mod? Town expansion mod? Follower mod? Npc mod? The only catch is it MUST take place in one of the three mention areas!

Lets make WinterHOLD great again.

Don't worry I will be making a finalized Published list of the most compatible ones at some point :)

I just use http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13608/? and http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36849/?. They are compatible and together make Winterhold a great place, with a crumbling wall, a stable with a horse for sale, a few more buildings and a fully fleshed out college. I prefer not to overload with mods, so those are the only two I use that change Winterhold.

Edit: Also, I am personally using version 2.53 of Immersive College of Winterhold because I don't like the spiral staircases in the Arcaneum and Hall of Elements that were added in later versions.

Great topic! I'd like to see such a list. I'm using Frostfall and Realistic Needs and Diseases so I'm reluctant to have my PC venture into such terrible cold and stormy weather on foot (I'm not using FT or carriages) - she doesn't have a horse yet.

I have the Hidden Hideaways mod (without map markers) as a way to find shelter in such hostile country but I'm planning to switch to the version with map markers. The hideaways really are hidden and I think my PC will certainly freeze to death if she sets out on a lengthy exploration in the frozen north.
