This probably isn't as WTF-ish as a lot of the things here, but it was the fastest thing that I could remeber, and I think it's worthy.

I decided to get an image-format map of the Wasteland, and on it I marked the map grid location of an Abandoned Tent, which I have claimed as one of my many special "bases". Anyway, I was on my way to it, I look all around and see nothing, not even a blip on my compass, and then when I turn around and head for the door... suddenly I get knocked away from it by a Giant Radscorpion that came out of absolutely nowhere. I kill it and gather up the poison glands(seeing as im right next to the tent, and there's boxes in there), and then I finally get to the door and a frag mine goes off beneath me and almost kills me. I quickly ran inside before any more random things could happen.

BSOD... They're probably the biggest "WTF!?" moments i had during gameplay, when i explored the beautiful wasteland and suddenly a similiar blue screen appears in the moment i expected it least.

i was in the statesman on the reilly quest when i spotted 2 super mutants on the other side of a small doorway. i went in to vats and killed the one in the doorway. it was so small that the mutant got stuck inside and then i went in to vats again. the mutant vanished and then i killed the other one. i went to the door and he was there again? i thought wtf i will investigate. i could walk so that i was in the middle of his body and when i went in to third person i could see only the mutant so it looked like i was somehow one of them. i walked past and set off a trip wire. i had time to run from the grenades that fell but cross got hit. she started making a weird noise that was like ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for about 5 seconds and then stopped.

i had 8 deathclaws land around me.

If you bumped him, he'd flail a bit, then settle back down, but he was definitely attached to that lamp.

one of the funniest things in the fallout game was in the add on game mothership zeta, the nasty aliens were recording their victims and when you collect the tape recordings on the ship listen to them they are very funny exspecially one where one of the abducted victims tells the alians to go to hell even though he,s getting tortured big style he won,t give in and it is very funny the victim is psychotic and i am still laughing now.

This morning, I was walking over-encumbered, back from kicking Enclave ass with Liberty to Megaton when two red blips started getting closer. I readied the nifty new Heavy Incinerator. Over the rubble came a Super Mutant Overlord chasing a molerat. They ran by me, even when I attacked the overlord. They left, I kept walking. Every once in a while I do a 360 to check my surroundings. Two red blips getting closer. It's those guys again. They run by me. The Overlord is screaming but he can't catch the molerat. 20 minutes later a nearly dead Overlord comes back and I burn him. LOL.

When I went near old olney, black rays of some sort start flying from old olney toward me, after this has happened, I kill a few raiders and thier bodys start stretching out and begin to rapidly twitch violently :cryvaultboy:

When the Firelance came out of the sky and hit Jericho in the face. And killed him.

I'm walking around in the wastelands, and I come across somehting that I had never sen before: A pair of raiders had attacked an Enclave outpost, killed the only soldier there and(this is what makes it strange) one of the Raiders was wearing his armor while the other was wearing his helmet. I go ahead and kill the Raiders and move on. About 20 minutes later I discover that I've made a complete circle, returning to the same spot, and you know what I found? The Enclave soldier that the raiders killed HAD COME BACK TO LIFE and was attacking me with an invisible Flamer; in other words, a man had come back from the dead and was shooting me with a weapon that wasn't there. ANd all this while he was wearing nothing but his underwear. Needless to say, his limbs aren't his anymore, if you know what I mean.

I was heading to Lamplight for the first time with my latest character last week and the old bus on the north side of the parking lot suddenly flew up in the air and did a bunch of rolls in midair before hitting the ground by the little admissions shack outside the door to LL.

That's not a "WTF moment from Fallout 3," because the BSOD is almost always associated with a hardware failure.

I do hope this has happened to someone else... I hate the Albino Radscorpion and thought I'd fatman one outside regulator HQ, It duly died but after the smoke cleared I stood laughing for ages as I watched 6 of its legs, in perfect positioning just twitching forward and back - it was if the Radscorpion was still there just missing a head/body & tail.

I was walking towards and old house when suddenly I fell down a cliff that wasn't there, and landed in invisible water. I could see the house and ground floating above me.
A molerat that was walking around on it's back legs.

In the same vein:

I was testing my equipment mod (specifically, the small settlement I'm building for it) and was running to where it was. I hear an explosion in the near distance that I can't see. A burning car goes flying overhead and crashes nearby. Then a body goes soaring overhead and lands off in the distance. I finally found him, it was an Outcast, and he was laying dead in the middle of my town

I once was watching a Japanese F3 playthrough video series on nicovideo.jp in which the player was at Evergreen Mills and after taking out the raiders he turned to fight the Behemoth which was charging out of the gate and suddenly it flew up into the air about 100 feet and died on impact when it landed. At which point the video screen immediately filled up with cries of "HAVOK-SAMA!!" by the viewers/commentors.

I laughed out loud when I heard this. After defending the rotunda with Sydney, I'm creeping around picking up all the mines when she said, "Eyes up here please." Then she said something like "Keep your eyes ahead and not on my ass."

My last game I walked in there and it was PAIR of albino radscorpions.
Earlier in the game it was a pair of hostile robots.

I wonder what sets off the weird in that place.

The other day, I had a deathclaw fighting the talon company mercs at the satellite station. The deathclaw couldn't reach one of the mercs on the balcony, so he went inside the building with me sneaking up on it behind it, watching the thing walking very slowly walking up to the door, once he opned it he went mad at everything that had moved in the room ahead.

Another one was placing three bottlecap mines at a point where I knew exactly where a guy would of spawned. When he did spawn, he flew about 6 floors up and on top of a building :blink:.

When I was in rivet city marketplace, I have just sold the gun guy all my extra crap, and I turned around and everyone in the cell just dropped dead. It was really freaky...
