Your Favourite Daedric- Prince and why?

Sheogorath.

Why?

Because he has always been so funny, always looked like a gentleman, and in the past two games?

He was voiced by Wes Johnson!

Sheogorath for being so insanely stupid and ... creative.

Azura for being a fine, interesting character. She also makes one hell of a villain. Talks sweet, sounds wise, gets what she wants.

Um I think you mean in lore all together, not just skyrim  Azura has always exacted her revenge sooner or later.

Lore in all together: She is super nice and willing to help her followers, as well as heroes who need it... But she can seriously f*** with you if you try [censored]ing with her. (Simple Terms. Better?)

Azura is weak. I stole her Star for myself, murdered her priestess and trapped the latter's soul within the former with the mace of my lord and master Molag Bal.

I like Sheogorath because he is insane, Hircine because he rules werewolves and Molag bal because he's a complete [censored].

If you're a MW player you'd know shes a jealous {rude word} who would punish your entire race for the sake of the misdeeds of their leadership

I know. But the guy said Azura was 'weak', which is untrue. I believe she is one of the more powerful Princes in the lore.

Azura, pretty much because of Morrowind. I'll never forget the first time I heard her speech at the end of the game.

And she doesn't disappoint once you really get to know her. Every time I get a new Elder Scrolls game, I'm looking out for her. I loved her quest in Skyrim, and even on my evil character I'm giving her back the star - but I wish they'd bring Shari Elliker back :( She was Azura.

Strongly agreed. They also need to bring the original voices for many other Princes, like Hircine. Which I've mentioned already.. Right?

If Azura is so powerful, why could she not even protect her last priestess from my will? I stole her Star, defiled it and filled it with the soul of her last supplicant, and there's nothing she can do about it. Maybe once, when she had vast herds of the faithful to carry out her wishes, she might have appeared powerful, but in truth she's almost as puny as Nocturnal. The Tribunal defied her, and she didn't even have the power to cast them down. She had to wait three Eras for a mortal to unravel the Heart of Lorkhan to see justice done upon them, and even then it was at their own jealous hands that the Three fell. Vivec completely evaded her so-called 'wrath,' and even shoved his Muatra down her throat at one point. You say she cursed the Chimer, turning them into Dunmer? Sure, I can see that the discoloration of one's skin would be a terrible fate.

Honestly, all Azura can do is shake her fist and promise that one day she'll get back at me. And then, some day, when I go down in battle with the Dominion upon the fields of Colovia, she will point triumphantly and declare that it was by her will that the last blow was struck.

Firstly: That wasn't her last priestess. That was just her last priestess that was living at the shrine.

Secondly: You are talking about gameplay. Therefore, your argument is invalid mainly due to the fact that Gameplay =/= Lore. Most of the gameplay material in TES game is NOT recorded in Lore. Normally, it is just the main quests and guild quests. Not the Daedric Quests. Not the Misc Quests. Etc. All of those quests are never recorded in Lore.

Not to mention, the fact that she didn't instantly smite you is no real indication of power. The Daedric princes are prevented from manifesting anything more than an avatar on Nirn, and require mortal servants to enact her will.

And the decline of the Tribunal, followed by the Red Year where she sent her priests visions so they could evacuate the dunmer beforehand, means that her cult is likely even bigger than it was during the events of Morrowind. Exactly as planned.

But in Skyrim... We learn that if you F***'d with Azura then you just F***'d with the wrong person..

Did I miss something? I remember doing her quest and ruining her precious star, and all she said was "eh i'm kinda pissed at you" and then nothing ever happened

I don't care much for Azura. Too superficial.

Like Merid, Peryite, and Hircine better. They aren't exactly nice, but they stay on the level with you.

Always felt more in tune with Merid's sphere.

snip

Imo she's as powerful as any other Daedra Prince. Now you might ask "how powerful is that?". Well, I'd say Daedra Princes are not as powerful as they claim to be. Saint_Jiub also has a point. The Princes are prevented from manifesting their true power in the mortal realm and if anything, Azura acts according to her nature.

She's also self-serving. There's no difference between being her priest and being her pet.

I like the last part of your post. That's just like Azura. :D

In Morrowind: Bloodmoon Hircine had that mysterious touch for me, when he talked to me in visions. Also I loved the Cuirass of the Saviour's Hide in that game:

Another of Hircine's artifacts was the Cuirass of the Savior's Hide. The Cuirass has the special ability to resist magicka. Legend has it that Hircine rewarded his peeled werewolf hide to the only mortal to have ever escaped his hunting grounds. This unknown mortal had the hide tailored into this magical Cuirass for his future adventures. The Savior's Hide has a tendency to travel from hero to hero as though it has a mind of its own. —Yagrum Bagarn,
