Your favourite fun/funny/mess around mods!

Post » Tue May 03, 2011 1:22 am

I'm trying to start a discussion here. It'd be cool if everyone who uses mods posts the one they like to use just for fun. Stuff like "Hilarity" - thats the only one I've tried yet. It gives you fun spells to mess around with. It seems to be the highest rated "God/Cheat mod" on TESNexus so I'm sure you've all heard of it.

I'd love advice on a good zombie mod too. So far, I've heard 28 days and a bit (I think that's what it's called) is good fun, letting you start a zombie takeover of Cyrodiil and tweaking it to your liking.

So go ahead - tell me and everyone else your choice mods in having fun/messing around. Funny mods, sandbox type things, all that.

training cattle to imprison people

Vector to start some more realistic epidemics( a little like 28 days later and a bit, but not as extreme)

Conduit magic

Vows and covenants

companion share and recruit

I can't think of any other "just screw around" mods I use.

Underwater Bubble FX and Anduril Reforged when used alone are both great, serious mods. When used together things get a little amusing, as the Bubble FX use the DARK magic effect, which conflicts somewhat with the sword from Anduril Reforged. You can smite your enemies with bubble sounds.

Midas magic. I just got it yesterday, and have been having a lot of fun throwing around tornados and stuff. The new magic effects are brilliant!

I've been wanting to try out http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=26792 for some time now, but sadly I still haven't gotten around to it. I'll probably make a post on my blog for whenever I do.

As for entertaining mods that I currently use, I'd probably have to say http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1991 produces the most amusing results. You can find a video and full description of it on my blog.

I didn't expect to have as much fun as I did with 20 Creatures by Colovrat. It adds a bunch horror-themed monsters to the game, some of which are very creepy.

The best of them is what I call the "skele-shark"! It's basically a shark that runs around on 4 tiny skeleton legs, and falls over the moment you hit it with anything :lmao:

Nice, that sounds hilarious. So does the sheep one...
I saw Midas Magic somewhere, I've definitely written that down to check out. I think it's actually one of the highest rated on TesNexus. Also, last night I installed 28 Days and a Bit 3 (which seems to be a continuation of number 2 after the author stopped working on it) and it seems cool so far, but I've only just got out of the sewers with my new, just-for-this-mod Redguard, Survivor Badde. He's going to use Blunt, Hand to Hand and Marksman to take out the zombies.

It's kind of odd, number 2 of the mod (actually something like version .27) is about 96 kilobytes, and number 3 (.30) is 106! I'm not sure what it is, but according to the changelist, the player can now be infected, and there's a couple new scenarios. I think it also comes with some "siege" effects or something. I think cities can be on fire.

Anyway, seems great. Going to keep playing it and see what happens.

Shameless self-advertising, but my http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=29185 mod certainly fits into the 'fun mods' category (and I think that's the only category it fits in :P).

I've made a couple of humor mods but nothing as funny as phitt's mod though:

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=32267 + telekinesis is pretty amusing. Drop one in the middle of a group of enemies. Very satisfying when things go well. ^_^

I actually have seen a youtube video of that!
Unfortunately, it seems like now that I've seen that video, I've seen the whole mod... true?

Also, Conan_Lon, what is LHammonds?

No, the video only shows a small portion of the first level (and of version 1.0). The mod has three levels plus three bonus levels.

That's his evil self.

Honda NR500, pretty fun mod, adds a motorcycle to Oblivion, really fast way to get around but of course I only use it when I'm screwing around in Oblivion for my main save file I do not use it as I consider it a CHEAT of sorts.

Don't know if it belongs in this thread, and you have probably already done so anyway, bit simply using the Bashed Patch to extend the death cam indefinitely has given me a lot of hilarity.

That sounds fun... any instructions on how to do so? Also, what do you mean? Like falling off of something and then just watching what happens? I'm always annoyed in OB and Fallout 3 when it prompts you to load a save game instead.

Yep, it means that you'll be able to see what happens after you die.
Do you have Wyre Bash? If so, open it, go to the mods tab, go down to 'bashed patch', right click on it and say 'rebuild patch', and then go down to tweak settings, tick it, and right click on 'camera: pc death time' and select unlimited, and rebuild the patch. Alternatively, if you don't have Wyre Bash (although I highly recommend that you do use it) then http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=oblivionmods.detail&id=416 will also do the trick.
As for Fallout 3, if you use the console and say 'tfc' it will go to freecam and it won't make you load.
