My favorite NPC?

Well, Charon's #1 fo' sho, 'cause...well, 'cause it's fun to have a Ghoulie follower. Has a powerful weapon, knows the right time to save you (yeah, there's been a few close calls with my character, and he comes right on in to save the day *place super "S" on Charon's chest*) and doesn't complain like one BALD-HEADED reject...Jericho

That, and putting biker goggles on him is adorable :3 And he makes the Metal Armor look DAAAAAYM guud x3

Fawkes, too. He's just a big sweetheart XD High endurance (more than Charon), bigger weapon that fires faster, and it just feels better to have a bigger bodyguard on your team. Partnered up with Dogmeat, and you have a force to reckon with x3

Non-follower-wise, Gob. He's just the sweetest...When I was playing my bad character, I wanted to warn him about the bomb in Megaton, and try to get him out of there, but...*sighs* Sadly, didn't work...Not even killing that a-hole Moriarty didn't do nuffin'. So only in my dreams can I say he's safe XD Otherwise...he's as dead as dead can be :<

But he gave discounted drinks :3 And being nice to him after what crap he's gone through just makes you feel special to him XDD

My favorite NPC is Charon, hands down. There's just something oddly amusing about his "You could die and I really wouldn't give a sh**" attitude. The angry grumblings and the ridiculously powerful shotgun he has make him insanely awesome.

I also loved Desmond Lockheart. I laughed at everything that came out of his mouth.

The samurai from Mothership Zeta was awesome too. He couldn't understand anyone but he still comes and helps in the fight. That was a 'get up from the couch screaming YES YES YES I LOVE THIS GAME' moment for me.

Yeah, no kidding! Proves it at the end of the main quest if you have him as a follower (with or without BS XD)

Still...He doesn't have the life of Fawkes, nor the endurance or strength to fend off 5 Deathclaws, but that shotty of his is amuuuuuuurzin' XD

But ya got'a wonder why he growls at you...Sure, I understand if you're a BAD character, he'll growl at you, but when you're good, he still does so. Makes you think you're doing something wrong that's rubbing him the wrong way O.o

EDIT: And Ghouls are awesome, hands-down...Doc Barrows was another I didn't mention that I like. Wonder what would happen if you let him take human samples off of you...XD

Charon does have one "nice" (if you could call it that) moment.
Spoiler
He'll start the purifier for you. He says it's not in his contract blah blah blah, but you pick the line that says something like "Please, do this one thing for me", he does it without anymore complaining.

That, and when you ask him to change his weapons and he mentions liking the gun better etc., is what really makes me like him.

Oh yeah, I know that...He would'a been nicer if he had gotten the G.E.C.K like I had mentioned in my thread about it. Of course if you have him with you and you have any DLC, he'll do it for you.

But it's always nice to ask him nicely about it :3

That...and he can, and will, save your ass at a given moment XD You're near death, and have nowhere to hide? Count on Charon to be that barricade for you! Or at least a quarter of it XDD

I like Cherry. I would convince her to follow me and take her to my Megaton house and make her wait. But she eventually deserts me and goes back to Dubov's place. :(

Moira Brown is my favorite so far. I haven't met all of the charecters yet (game keeps freezing up or quests lock up to where I can't really meet anyone else), but it's because not only is she kinda cute, she's also very bright and cheerful, especially in the way she sends you off to what may very well be your death. ^^

Many characters in the wastes are likeable enough. I did enjoy having Charon & Jericho with me while parading across the wastes. Fawkes was also a good guy very interesting, although staggeringly overpowered.

I found Silver to be really interesting too, a lot of characters with troubled pasts seemed to be the most enthralling.

Cherry, Nova and Fantasia were all prosttutes who didn't really value themselves but I always wondered about their past. Sydney was a great character too apart from when her sub glitched and she hobbled around everywhere with and upside down gun, the back story involving her dad was also quite endearing.

The most interesting characters for me in the whole game were quite easily The Keller Family although we never actually see them alive and kicking the holotapes provide a strange insight into life before the bombs dropped.

Yeah, hokers are the best characters! I pretty much like all the prosttutes in the Wasteland like Nova, Silver, Cherry, Fantasia, Susan, Trinnie, Crimson, Clover, and Brianna.
