Your favourite place to build?

What settlement did you find the best for building on to your liking? I found Warwick Homestead to be my preference to the likes of Castle or Sanctuary etc. I built stairs all the way up the outside of the main building and put huts and turrets on the roof! lol! Turned the room at the back of the settlement into an office and built a storage area and garage underneath it.

Feel free to provide screenshots of your best building work :)

So far red rocket has been my spot..

I just discovered that outdoor theatre that looks like a good spot..

Also I forget the name, but there's one on the coast that I have artillery that can reach a couple dense enemy camps..fun to play around with.

Hangmans Alley is a fun spot. It's pretty small and cramped but is close to Diamond City and easy to defend

I like specticale island the best. It has so much room to build. I just can't think of a way to best utilize the space.

Starlight Drive-In. There's tons of level ground, it's a giant square perfect for a curtain wall with towers, and there's even a pond in the dead center for your water purifier.

I built a City-Fort there. Fort Starlight's got it all, %&$# Diamond City.

My other large settlements are Sanctuary and Sunshine Tidings. I built small Military outposts at Red Rocket and Taffington Boathouse, and a medium-sized one at The Castle. Currently working on Abernathy Farm.

Wait, there's a STORY in this game? I have a SON?!

Hangman's Alley <3

it's very tricky, but very fun to mess around with it

even though it can get annoying, when you're not able to clip objects into the old houses ^^

Every where so far, maybe not Hangman’s Alley, it gets too claustrophobic there. Having to share a tiny space with a flipping wandering Brahmin!

Spectacle Island for me.

There's enough room for a decent settlement, a fortress and -between the two- some real shenanigans to inflict on trespassers! :)

As for Brahmin doing the whole radroach in a terminal thing:

Spoiler
Open Workshop > Resources > Miscellaneous > Brahmin Feed Trough

That gets the pesky little critters out fo the way if placed in an out of the way location

Red Rocket is my little home I like to build select things at like defense and extra containers and stuff but Sanctuary is the place I'm currently building up into a thriving community. Next I might do the theater or Tenpines or something.

Dockside Inn, has been a lot of fun to work on.

It has about a third of its build space over Water so what I did was put down some foundations and they look just like docks on the water.

Built up a 3 story building over the water there, placed a dozen generators in the boathouse, and 3 Water Purifiers so far. Placed a Wall of vending machines around the Brahmin pin, a guard house with sandbags out in the street, and a Muttfruit grove on its bank. Its got a General Store and a Bar looking out over the water. The Dockhouse I built up has enough height to take shots at Super Mutants across the river and with several machine gun turrets well the waters are filled with dead mutants.

I'm still working on getting all the amenities and a decent lighting solution for the grounds so I can see those Feral Ghouls that like to attack at night.

Just found a new favorite spot:

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Kingsport_Lighthouse

It's beach side so I'm going to make a multi-level terrace with an open-air balcony overlooking the sea. Possibly open a bar there too! :foodndrink:

There's plenty of water obviously, a lighthouse I can use as a sniper's nest :shifty: , a boat, a dock with shack, and a ready-made house. Not to mention

being strategically defensible being almost like a peninsula, only one way in by land... :mohawk:
