Your'e favourite place in Cyrodiil

Post » Wed May 02, 2012 1:27 pm

I remember the first time I travelled to Anvil, I was instantly charmed by the beauty of that city, especially the docks.
For me, my favourite area of Cyrodiil is the Gold Coast (Anvil and the surrounding areas).
What about you? Whats your favourite place?

Anvil, Chorrol (and the Colovian Highlands are brilliant), all of County Skingrad and its surrounding areas, the Imperial Reserve, County Cheydinhal (city and surrounding lands) etc. Wilderness-wise, I like County Skingrad and County Cheydinhal the most. :)

Geez, I don't know, there are too many to think about. I enjoy Old Bridge at about sunrise, with the mist and fog on the water. Some days, the fog doesn't lift until well past 11 am.

I can't choose a place. There's beauty everywhere, and I don't understand the people who complain that there's not enough variety in Cyrodiil.

I used to dislike the swamps east of Leyawiin, but I've since had two characters (Wild Elf and Linaea), who feel most at home in that environment. Even the bottoms of the lakes and rivers are beautiful, in their own way.

The same with me. I suppose I would have to say wherever my character happens to be standing. I used to dislike Leyawiin because of the rain, but after playing Artemisia I came to see it in a completely different way (she was born under the Undine, and regenerated when in the rain or water). She always loved running through the rain. The only thing she liked better was the snow.

I  to the old and wise glargg. I enjoy visiting every part of Cyrodiil and I often find myself longing for the Gold Coast, the Colovian Highlands or the Nibenay Basin. There is one part though I don′t like so much and that′s the Heartlands. It′s too open and it gives me a feeling that it′s always windy there.
Of course I have a special place in my heart for the Jeralls. When I got there for the first time I immediately got the feeling I was at home. A feeling I haven′t forgotten...

Well Tara's favorite place/s have to be the Aylied ruins. She has a deep fasination with them and she has never understood why; she just finds them beautiful. Whenever she comes across one (even on an important misson most of the time), she cannot help but drop everything and explore. She doesnt sell or use any artifacts she finds in the ruins; which has left her small house in Bravil very VERY cluttered! :P

If we are talking cities Then Tara's favourite is Leyawiin. Despite the fact she lives in Bravil (she has very good friends there) it's Leyawiin that she truley loves. She loves the arcitecture and the guild there specialises in her second favourite field. It seems to rain alot there, though; but Tara doesnt mind.

I love heading up to Bruma and then looking down and seeing the Imperial City sprawled out below.

My favorite place in Cyrodiil though would be Anvil! I love just standing on top of the lighthouse and watching the sun set over the water. The architecture is beautiful as well.

Sometimes high in the mountains I like that best, but when I'm on the coast, or in the highlands, well- there are too many places to choose.

There are moments all across Cyrodil where the birds seem to sing louder and the sun shines warm. You know, sometimes hiking in our world I find moments like that too.

Anvil reminds me of Hollywood in the golden era. They were still making cowboy movies and many actors had horse ranches just outside town. the architecture is Mediterranean in style and Benirus manor has an open airy feel about it. There is also glamor such as the lovely and statuesque Carahil. Benirus manor could have been a Frankenstein movie set. Overall, The settings invites you settle in with a glass of wine and a good book beside the fireplace in Benirus manor, take a ride up into the hills and watch a sunset from the road to Gwedon farm, or go tavern diving on the waterfront. Angel has spent hours relaxing on a bench in the main plaza as a lovely clear day waned into sunset; the street lanterns flicker on with a warm friendly glow, and darkness settles, revealing a star studded sky to remind you of the great universe and how small and insignificant we are.

Oblivion was a great game, it's still dear to my heart, and though I love Skyrim the most, I still play Oblivion often today. I don't really know why so many people complained about it - I personally thought it was a better game than Morrowind. (Though I loved Morrowind too ;) )

Too many options for me. I love the cities, the aleid ruins, some of the caves are interrsting, many nice places hidden in the wilderness and landmarks. I generally think Oblivions Cyrodiil is a beautiful place.

Same here, and there's a city not too far from me that looks very similar, and has the vineyards and everything as well. :)

I'm quite fond of Anvil,Benirus Manor is really a very good buy once you evict the old tenents. I also bought Arborwatch in Chorrol which is befitting the head of the Fighters Guild and it's close to the guild headquarters. Emil owns several other properties but you will usually find him at one of the above mentioned homes when he's not out exploring.
