For first playtrough, I'll ether play pure mage or pure bow assassin, but will mix something of my own after.

Depends on the fight. In Oblivion I prefer to fight as a mage with sword and no armor. I like to get three or four good strikes in, then follow it up with a spell. Sometimes I will use this spell I created called "Matchstick" with 100% weakness to fire for like 10 seconds, then attack with powerful fire spell. I like to use another spell I created called "Electric Judgment" with 100 shock damage for 2 seconds (200 pts shock damage) which is pretty powerful. But I still like to mix things up. During a fight I sort of go back and forth between weapons and spells to make it interesting, but for attackers that I find only a nuisance like bandits on the roads, I just hit them with Electric Judgment once and they dead instantly. I only use staffs as a backup because their charge is limited and must eventually be recharged. Even so, I have custom spell that dwarf any staff in the game, so it's almost pointless for me to use them. I used them a lot more early on in the game at low levels.

The best spell I made was drain health 100pts for 1 second on touch. Very easy to use and kills basically all enemies straight dead. When you have more majicka I created a spell called Death field. Which was the same but with a higher area. A good spell to use when hordes of enemies are running at you and all you need to do is raise your hand and they all die instantly.

Anyyyyway.

I'll be using a Bow.

Shortsword combined with touch spells if they get up close.

I'm sure Katanas will be in the game. They were in Morrowind and Oblivion.

Also, the player character will be working with the Blades and one of your headquarters will be a Blades Temple, which will contain Akaviri armor and weapons. Akaviri weapons include Katanas, traditionally.

In fact a couple of very powerful Daedric weapons are Katanas - Ebony Blade and Goldbrand.

Imagine brandishing one of those in each hand while wearing Dragonbone or Trollbone armor you sculpted yourself.

A battlemage character, wearing heavy armor and dual wielding spells and also mixing shield in one hand and spell in the other hand (for a perfect mix of defense and ofense) But if finishing moves look as sick as in the trailer, then my battlemage will dual wield spell and sword just for the looks :disguise:

Paladin, Heavy Armor, one handed/two handed weapons, Restoration. Those will be my 4 base skills. While in my meantime i will concentrate on Alchemy for health pots, Smithing, marksman, possibly enchanting.

I'll probably go 1 or 2hand blunt first, unless the archery is really attractive, then i'll go bow/daggers.

My strategy is to hurt the enemy at long-range before i get up close, increased drawdistance show only give me something to gain.

First thing i do is to throw ranged spells that has one purpose, to cause as much damage as possible. If they manage get within a swordsrange i will use my potions with paralyse and damage health.

If you should get overrunned, use the a-bomb(100pts firedamage, 10ft, 2sec) and run, only to preform the same strategy again.

From a distance, i'll be shooting the enemies down with a bow. If they get close, i'll pull out dual-shortswords and go ninja on their ass. :celebration:

Probably something like this but with dual daggers or even hand to hand, and more focus on the bow. At a higher level I'll enchant my bow and be an arcane archer ;P Light armor of course.

Im pretty sure i'l be like an illusionist type of character. Which means I'm going to be a kinda sneaky type of character that uses shortswords and illusion and conjuration alot too tho.

I'll probably be a vicious warrior wielding any kind of sword he can get his hands on (maybe an axe or two) but with some destruction skill.

It looks better to me, only bad thing so far is you can't block with a weapon in one hand and spell in the other. :sadvaultboy:

yes you can?

You can parry with your sword or blunt weapon, I'm sure.

Perhaps use of traps. Lure the enemies into a set of magic traps, then toss a fireball, or other appropriate spell on them.

My character will be an alchemist/mage, but not a tank type.

Edit: Just thought I would add that I am considering other characters, who may use different tactics.

From what I read, you will be able to use magic to do that in Skyrim. Sort of like the trapped doors/chests from Morrowind except you can actually trap them this time around.

Magic.

I'm making a Breton Spellsword named Charlie Sheen. I'm gonna mod the game so when he uses spells he says "I've exposed people to magic", or "I have magic at my fingertips" and sometimes "They didn't know they were challenging a warlock."

He'll also say things like "Tiger blood" and "WINNING" when he kills someone.

I'm actually interested in trying everything because it all sounds fun. I think the magic is actually going to be useful here.

Mostly I want to be an archer and assasin though, I love archery. I'm a stealth player, generally.

Since I tend to roleplay as magic users I probably won't use a lot of weapons though I will probably carry an enchanted dagger with me. I have this idea of creating a character who only fights by manipulating creatures of nature to defend him. :)
