Your First Character! -Poll Edition-

Post » Sat Mar 26, 2011 4:57 pm

Race: Nord. I'm normally a fan of Bretons, and also somewhat Imperials, but this time I want to be a native Skyrim folk-hero.

Focus: Not sure yet. Probably a mix of exploration, dragon shout-hunting and the main quest line.

Archetype: I'm thinking Combat/Magic, since Combat/Magic/Stealth will probably result in a pretty weak character.

Morality: Nice! I want to be the kind of Hero that troupers and bards sing songs about.

Gender: Male.

I'm (still) in need of some more "informative-info" in relation to the racial-abilities/skills or the visuals of the 10 races (especially the beast ones) before i decide what type of char i'll play... but, probably, and that's how i voted for, my first role would be a thief male khajiit-naughty with a goody side-explorer.. not sure if his talents would be with the combat/stealth or magic/stealth manners.. maybe there is even space for a pure stealth conduct. However, i do know that at some point i will play as a Orsin'lumberjack (custom class) male orc-completely berserker-a very tiny little bit barbaric-good with a bad side (tending towards an inevitable psychopathic result)-main/sidequest focused character......................................................................................... and beardy.

PS.: I will, obviously, not forget about a viking warrior nord save file too...

PS2.: Oh helly dregs...! I will just play the 10 races simultaneously!!!

I always play a Redguard highwayman first up. He is built to sneak around, test out the thieving and guard / jail mechanics and complete part of the TG.

After a few weeks everybody else should know how to play a Blade- Mage type character and posted it here and at uesp, and I will then steal the ideas.

Race - Dunmer
Focus - Explore the world and trying like always to roleplay, setting up some basic characteristics for my character and always act like he would. This makes for more replayability
since it's impossible to finish everything. Also gives a nice touch of personality to your otherwise generic over curious adventurer that just wants to do every possible quest there is.
Archetype - Nightbladish, magic/stealth. Short blade, light armor, sneak, alteration, alchemy, illusion. Something like that.
Naughty or Nice - Naughty, He'll most probably be a greedy opportunist with a violent grudge against argonians.
Gender - Male

Race - Nord
Focus - Explore every nook and cranny I can get into as I complete whatever quests happen to be available.
Archetype - Paladin with high blade/shield/healing skills and heavy armor. It's all about survivability while exploring.
Naughty or Nice - Mostly nice. Just don't rub me the wrong way or I may remove a body part.
Gender - Male

I chose a Nord who will be a pure mage.

This will part of his back story as to why he has been imprisoned at the start of the game.

His father was so distraught that his only son had turned his back on the strength and melee fighting style adopted through the years by the Nordic culture and had focussed his early teen years on the schools of magic that he had him banished from the village and set me up for murder, by employing a mage to kill a local hunter and blame me.

The main focus will be to complete the main quest but also to search out this mage, by joining the relevant guilds and searching for clues (my idea is that if there is a main story character that is bad and a mage, that this will be the mage that my father hired, and I can kill two birds with one stone by following through with the main quest.

After this I will make a thief (prob a dark elf or Bosmer) and then a warrior (again prob a typical Nord warrior)

I can′t answer the focus question, what I will focus on is not on that list and I know exactly what I am going to focus on so saying "I′m not sure yet" is not right. Perhaps have the last option be "I′m not sure yet / other" ?

Imperial thief, who hates people. Not social. Lives somewhere away from people(Only few friends).Sarcastic and cares only about himself.Hes not evil but hes not the good guy either.Avoids having to kill people.

Still not sure if this would be my first character...way too many characters to choose from.

argonian, stealth/combat, main focus: kill everyone, and im naughty, skyrim will fear me! , male , and one more thing, it was so cool that back in daggerfall we had that option of how to talk to somenone, we coud be a brute, or polite, or normal, was awesome, we should talk polite to a king or queen, and brute with thievs and other talkable things lol

I will be a Breton, male, specialising in stealth and magic.

I will be the hero Skyrim deserves - But not the one it needs right now. They'll hunt me because I can take it. I'm not their hero. I'm a silent guardian, a watchful protector, a dragonborn.

  • Dunmer: a pissed off refugee.
  • Main focus of doing everything in one town, moving on to another while doing dungeons in between.
  • Mostly Combat and Magic, a small element of stealth.
  • Neutral with a slight bad side.
  • Male

Until we get more specifics on the character classes it's going to be hard to make a decision just yet.

Right now I'm thinking a Male Breton specializing in Combat with a little Magic for self defense and healing. I will always complete the main quest on my first go through but I'll also do adventuring, side quests and everything else I can as well. I don't let the main quest dictate how I play the game.

Imperial - I will be one of the Dragonborn, with an imperial it would seem that I have a right to the throne. I'm not a Septim but I can carry the Amulet of Kings. I will try to to reunite the broken empire and create a new line of emporors.

Warrior with some sligth magic

Will do every quest and try to help everyone

Playing good.

Nord

Duel wielding axes and stealths around.

A nice guy but he likes to kill things... especially imperials or whatever the opposite to the nationalists are...

Gunna go with the main story at first i think...

Maybe because good guys save the world and bad guys linger in self-ruin?

Chuckie Chan, a burly red-haired Nord, was travelling back to his home in Skyrim after going on a life changing journey in Cyrodiil. He originally went there to see an master martial artist, but got caught up in a bar fight with a particularly annoying Bosmer. Chuckie was then landed in prison where luckily, the Blades used his cell to escape with the emperor. He then continued to work with the Blades to save the empire from the Oblivion crisis. Once it was all over, he bought a nice home in Bruma and settled down for a while. But he still had that never ending thirst for adventure deep within him. That thirst was quenched when Chuckie heard a rumor about a strange door opening up. He travelled through that door into a land called The Shivering Isles where, through a strange turn of events, he became Sheogorath and was granted immortality. 200 years later, Chuckie grew bored of his position and began to miss his home. Thats when he decided to leave the Shivering Isles and return to Skyrim. He stopped at a tavern in Southern Skyrim and, being fond of mead, ordered a few rounds. After his sixth drink, a drunk Kahjiit bumped into him. The two began to squabble when finally Chuckie wrapped his hands around the Kahjiit's head, and snapped his neck. That landed him a few years in the slammer where his new adventure starts...

edit: whoops wrong thread
