On your first character, will you make a class?

to be honest I dont think ive ever played anything but a custom class, none of the pre-made ones seem to fit what I want just right, they're always a bit off by a skill or two.

I use the pre-generated classes 99.9% of the time. Making custom classes is overrated!

Chances are I'll make my own. I may screw it up for my play style depending on how if any the scaling works in this game.

Not creating your own class is giving up on one of the most iconic features of TES.

I don't think I ever selected a pre-made class in an Elder Scrolls games...

So custom it is. My favorite skills are marksman, blade, alteration, restoration, security and "unarmored" (if present in the game). I usually keep the default custom class name as well: Adventurer.

Definitely gonna start with a custom Viking class. In Morrowind my first character was Dunmer; in Oblivion it was an Imperial; in Skryim it'll be Nord.

I always go with the Knight pre-made class on my first play through. Tend to prefer being a warrior over a mage, but I dabble in magic inevitably as I go deeper into the game. I always roleplay the chivalrous warrior that's hit with bad times, worked well with Oblivion.

I always make my own class. I normally name it: Hero or Siege Master

first character is usually a combat class to get a feel for how changes in the combat system work. pretty sure magic is going to be just as boring as ever in TES games and playing sneaky style is the same from game to game.

I always use custom classes, although most of the time they are based on pre-made classes.

So I'll guess I'll make a custom rogue or nightblade for my first character.

I never use preset classes. All my character are always custom classes. I found the preset classes always had something that was usless that I never used.

It would depend on if the preset classes have what I want on them or not. If yes, then definitely; if not, custom class it is.

When I played Oblivion I knew nothing about this series. Now I do. Unless there are radical changes, I can probably safely make my first class.

That is, unless the leveling system is broken again if you actually set your major skills as what you intend to use.

I have only used a premade class once in my memory... about two years ago I made a bosmer acrobat for funsies. Yeah though, I'll be making my own class for Skyrim.
