On your first character, will you make a class?

It's pretty straight forward, and I don't think I need to explain the question.

Of course, the only reason I didn't on my first character in Oblivion is because I didn't know i could.
I'll be making a Ranger class specializing in Marksman and Blade (assuming those are still the skills)

For my first character, I always just pick the Thief Class. (just my little tradition)

It's one of the few times that I don't use a Custom Class

Nope, I always go pre-set the first time, get a feel for the game and then do a change to either another type that I'd like more or make my own. My first character never seems to last very long, and I've never finished the MQ of an RPG like this with my first character build.

Depends. I have yet to think of what my character will be and how I will roleplay him/her.

Yep I always give all my characters custom classes and have since I first played Morrowind. As for the skills I'll just have to see what skills are or arent there.

I even know what I am going with, assuming there will be 7 major skills like in Oblivion I will make...

A male nord with the mage birthsigns and the 7 majors skills: Heavy armor, Blunt, Block, Restoration, Alteration, Conjuration & Destruction.

If there will be more major skills I may add Alchemy, Armorer, Another weapon skill (if they split up weapon skills like in morrowind then instead of Blunt I will take one handed maces, and for the other skill I would add if there will be 10 skills I′d pick one handed axes).

And if they have even less like 5 I would take off Conjuration & Destruction.

I try to avoid the archetypes. To me it would be like dressing in nothing but Nike clothing every day.

I do not believe Oblivion included a class that I wanted to make.

I always use customs, no matter how badly I build them, I always finish on my first character, kinda a bit weird haha.Just look at my oblivion axe welding restoration bosmer with the sign of the theif and mercantile as a main skill.

It depends on if any of the preset classes are classes I want to be.
I'll be deciding on 11//11/11 (or later, depending on when I get the game)

Only once have I ever selected a pre-made class, and that was two weeks ago, just for the hell of it. I decided I'd try to be a Nordic Knight. Worked out okay actually, though I didn't really complete much with it.

Yes tho always depends on what type of character I pick as first like if I plan to RP as a vampire than I'll mix n match for a Thief/Assassin type class tho that's really what I always do anyways lol

Definitely a custom class. I always try to build a diplomat/thief character, but the games always have enough of a slight variety between them to make me need to choose my own skill set in order to fulfill this role. I must admit though, Oblivion was genuinely disappointing with this sort of character, he quickly turned into an assassin, which he was not supposed to do... That's what happens though when games move away from role-playing and towards action and combat, that's why its a pity that so many people complain about features they've no intention of using, and can't just leave it be as some other players may enjoy using said features...

Depends. If I am the Argonian I always play first, then yes.
If I am the Khajiit, I am always the premade Spellsword.

Definitely going to make a custom class. My first Character will be:

A: A Nord that uses massive Warhammers and heavy armor

B: A Dunmer that uses light armor, blades, and is a sort of more sneaky character

I'm going to be :banghead: to figure out which to choose lol!

Custom class? Maybe...

But I think it's more likely that I'll go with a pre-made class to experiment the differences in skills and attributes and how they affect stuff.

A lot more classes to choose from, and maybe some additional perks for using a prebuilt class.
The perk for custom class is being allowed to set it up for power leveling purposes.

If the game has a good hunter class, based on skills required for hunting and surviving the elements of nature and on his own, I'll use it.
Marksman, Alchemy, Restoration magic, Sneak, Athletics, Light (or Medium) Armor, Armorer seems like applicable major skills.

I will most definitely build a custom class. I never use pre-made stuff if I am given the opportunity to customize.

I won't know that until I see the character creation and how the classes are built.
