Your first Mod for TES Skyrim

If it's easy enough to alter I'll probably tinker a bit with the draw distance.

I'll probably make a dungeon or a house first and then start making quests.... Maybe I can actually finish one and release it this time around. With the last two games I haven't released much of anything because I have a million unfinished projects.

Gonna remove all the arachnids first that's for sure.

If it's not in Vanilla, which it sadly probably won't be, I'll be trying to figure out how to add spell fizzles (fail chance). I loved that...and with regenerating Magicka it is all the more necessary.

Easy. Slate Black Armour with a Aedric Sword. Yes. Aedric.

I call it: Alduins Bane

I'm going to play the game first and see if I will actually feel the need to add something in or not. I don't mod stuff in just for the sake of modding stuff in ;)

So considering the setting it may be as simple as setting up a small hunter camp for the player to use if none are present (nothing major, just a tent with a bedroll, chest, campfire and stool).

Replace the sound files for the dragons with electronica. I'll be able to tell when a dragon approaches from hearing its phat bass.

Make that from Daft Punk tracks and I'll be both terrified and in awe. :D

My first mod: Removal of all traces of levelled anything, and removal of all unkillable NPCs or monsters.

Then I'll start my first game. ;)

I will probably build a nice little tower of dwemeri architecture for my character ... perhaps with a little bit of scripting goodness thrown in... a few useful spells for example.

Well I hope Onra starts making heightmaps for the whole of Tamriel as soon as Skyrim gets released, so 2 or 3 years after it's been released we will have some substantial province mods :D

A family castle for my character and if I have time maybe a small village next to the castle so I can tax the peasants.

Come on, seriously you can't know what to mod until it's released. The only things you can really consider are things you know are not in it, such as a laser rifle. To me it's insulting to the development of the game, like pouring salt on a dish served to you by the chef without even tasting it first.

My plans are still very fluid, I am just writing down whatever I think might be neat in the game and I will actually plan out what I make closer to launch. You know, when I know what is in the game and what not.

Probably start out with a player house though. I like to make my own.

Likewise. Though, the player houses might already be quite impressive in Skyrim? We'll have to wait & see :D

I won't start modding until I finish my first full playthough at least.

Then, probably my first mod will be to tweak a weapon that I like aesthetically but whose stats are crappy. Or a nice custom house/castle if I can't find any already avaliable.

Helm's Deep anyone? :D

If the engine and AI are massive battle-enabled, it'd be cool. And in PC's the Skyrim executable could be patched in order to use 64-bit memory allocation, so here you have it...

I will probably make a house mod for myself like I usually do and then I'll make a dungeon but that depends on how good the new tool set is.

After beating the game one or two times, I'll add an island fortress as a new house. Of course it will be populated by monsters and require me to clear it out first though, cause I like the added challenge.
