My first mod, after I have played a little, will be geared towards making minor tweaks and fixing errors.

Hopefully help with a Morrowind transportation system mod.

I was thinking along those lines.

two words: dog sled.

probably well beyond my abilities, but might be fun to try.

This would be fantastic as part of an "alternative to fast travel" mod as above, I was thinking along similar lines myself last night how awesome a dog sled would be as an immersive alternative to fast travel in snowy/remote areas!

Puzzled voice "What are mods?", tilts head.

Honestly I don't know, if I like the game maybe none.
If something bugs me I'll tweak it, if I have a specific role I may try modding some outfits.
If the game world or magic is not to my tastes that.

If nothing I'll look on Nexus and see what brilliant stuff the great modders over there have to offer.

Even if the game is perfect upon release, there's always a place for mods - to add new quests, new NPCs, new armour and weapons, new player houses, and new landmass - so even if I think the vanilla game is fantastic I will still be looking to add to it :)

Who are we kidding? The first thing we will all do is summon fifteen dragons with the dev console to fight all at once bringing our systems to their knees.

I'm going to mod in the entire province of cyrodiil....jk.
Probably looking forward to the inventive creations of everyone else since I have no modding skills at all.

I'm going to make a small village in the mountains with a few homes, a tavern, and a trading post.

im already working on the models of my biggest mod ever, and im happy to announce it is going to skyrim, i pretend to do a lore mod, where you will play as great characters of the elder scroll lore, you will play in many eras, and i pretend to start on 000 ERA1, UNTILL now, your going to play as many wonderfull characters of tes lore , such as tiber septim him self, or play as a nedic, obviously im going to take out the RPG factor and make a adventure game, you already is going to spawn with the weapons your going to be using on this charpter of the history and already its going to be directed to the quest of this charpter, some charpters may or may not have some kind of explorable world. just expect to see, obviously its not going to be entirely a total conversion, you can disable it to play skyrim normaly again.

EDIT: and obviously it is not going to be entirely in skyrim( the province ), expect to see parts of morrowind, black march, hammerfell, and even akavir , yokuda and battlespire! and many more!

When Skyrim ships and you've had your fill of the vanilla, what kind of flavor will you add? In other words, what will your first mod be?

Mine is sort of outrageous but my first mod will consist of a leprechaun who will run throughout the Skyrim woodlands. He will most likely be a scaled down Wood Elf with a custom green outfit complete with top hat. If the player spots him while adventuring, they will have a chance to stalk him until he returns to a spot in the forest where he hides his pot of gold. Then the player could forcefully take it from him or persuade him to give the player a portion, either option won't be easy.

If you do this, can you please make this line an option in conversation?!

"Alright Leprechaun, give us the gold or you die....slow..."

:yuck:
