Your first TES V character

Most probably my character will be the sire of the characters from my previous games. With the usual hereditary proficiency with a bow.

Assuming it's in Skyrim I'll be either a Dunmer Assassin/Mage type character or if they give my beloved Nords their beards back!!!! :brokencomputer:
I'll play a warrior type Nord. Not sure on the birth sign.

I will be a Dunmer assassin, highly skilled in swordsmanship, light armor, and stealth. His family moved to Skyrim from northern Morrowind just before the whole Infernal City incidents started happening. His family is middleclassed and he moved out at a young age being then approached approached by a rogue assassin group, which ends up getting murdered by the Dark Brotherhood where he honed his already started skills.

I will likely make my first character an Imperial knight/paladin, but depending on the appearance of the races, I might decide to make a Dunmer knight/paladin, instead. I play Dunmer characters in the first three Elder Scrolls games because in the first two, Imperials didn't exist and because in Morrowind, I hated the way Imperials looked and thought the Dunmer looked much better, on top of Morrowind being the homeland of the Dunmer. I play as an Imperial in Oblivion because I like their appearance in Oblivion and the game takes place in the Imperial homeland.

Presuming that they will give us the opportunity to play half-races I would probably go Half Nord/Bosmer... That's right a Barbarian/Wood Elf. I like to play balanced fighter / archer / stealth.

I'll most likely continue my tradition of starting a new ES game with a Khajiit Thief/Warrior mix character named 'Rob-Rvirr'. First did it in Morrowind, then Oblivion, then Daggerfall (although in Daggerfall it was bloody hard).

Race: Nord (for some reason since Morrowind I always pick a Nord)
Class: Custom (I normally go for the Assassin role just with a tad tweaks here and there so thats why it is Custom)
BirthSign: The Shadow

It depends where this is going to be places though, I will always pic a Nord and a Female one at that but my custom class may change from going with an Assassin role to a more tank type role, like my class in Morrowind, I know I will be becoming a werewolf *rebought the game is to why and lost my save which I was god in!:(* so I would pick a more tank type role yet still stealth as a major skill...But would focus on speed to...

Anyways, my custom Assassin type class normally looks like this

[/b]Specialization[/b]
Stealth Arts
Major Skills
Sneak
Security
Acrobatics
Marksman
Short Blade
Light Armor

Minor Sills
Block
Medium Armor
Long Blade
Hand to Hand
[Athletics/i]
[i]Unarmored

Miscellaneous Skills

Whatever I didn't add :flamethrower: :obliviongate:

Weapons are: Bow and Dagger and or long one handed sword.
Mortal: Evil...

I'm half decided.

Varesa Ienith - Female Dunmer Nightblade. Not explicitly evil, but has large grey areas in her morals. Will likely do whatever pays best.

Aralin Hlerayn - Female Dunmer Mage. Member of Great House Telvanni who's to [insert location] to study and gain power.

I'll likely go with my usual. Breton Mystic Monk.
Bow and hand-to-hand, Restoration, lots of running and jumping with nil armor. Alchemy to survive and check out the new alchemy system. Then as he/she matures, there is more focus on upper level Restoration, Alteration, enchanted equipment. Then finally dabbling in Illusion, Mysticism, and Destruction magics with absolute power via creation of personal, efficient spells.

I'm going to do as i did when i first played Oblivion. Bright-orange haired Wood Elf with a serious face. Ranger-like class, born under the thief. His specialty will be stealth and bows. (don't know how orange hair factors in with stealth...) And his name will be... Ruidarr.

If its in Skyrim im going to be a witch with a custom spell mod that steals their clothes.

 Good idea

But if it isn't Skyrim my 1st character will probably be a scout/explorer type, probably Redguard, Dunmer or Bosmer

I will be recreating my first ever decent character, as I did when Oblivion came out, and he shall be a Redguard Pirate/Warrior named Zzar Rethan. Either that or I'll make a Nordic adventurer named G'thaatar who has a knack for mysticism. Either way both will be created.

Well, the Elderscrolls 4 actually made magic fun for me, and I also did like the feel of archery. So I may start two files off. One one a Ranger type character (Dunno the race yet), and the other with a Breton Spellsword.

I wanna play a farmer who chases goblins off his property with a garden rake.

I'm not going to lie, I would love to play a character like that too.

Let's for simplicity's sake assume that TES V will have the same races and the same classes/birhtsigns as before, with similar qualities. What will be your very first TES V character?

Like every game I go into, going to start out with a generic warrior-build, to learn the mechanics. Might be unnecessary, seeing as how going from Morrowind to Oblivion was not a difficult conversion.
But I'll have my "learning the game" character, quickly followed by my Argonian (who conveniently has an increased lifespan, and would be around 300 years old by this point) who will steal and murder his way through the game.
I hope Speechcraft/Security are actually useful.

I'll probably start off with a pure melee Nord warrior and once I've got used to the differences between TES4 & 5 I'll play a stealth character for my second play through (will be a Dunmer)

I plan to be some sort of scholarly thief, but beyond that I'm torn. Mages make the best scholars, but then I wouldn't get to play with all the cool new weapons. My favourite classes are Rogue and Assassin, but if the game takes place in Skyrim it might be more fun to be a Warrior the first time. Should I major in Destruction or Marksman? I just dunno yet.

This guy lives out in the wilds. He's capable of hunting his food, using herbs and first aid on his injuries. He's athletic, knows how to hanlde a horse and a repair hammer, and of course all weaponry imaginable. The bigger the better, knives are ment for eating your food. In combat he wears heavy armor, if anything. Sometimes he goes almost naked, when hunting or foraging. He's not afraid to fight naked, since he's tough and agile, able to dodge and block well. Even serious injuries he can take care of, and his natural ability to regenerate saves him from tight spots. Sometimes he beats drums on his campfire, to make enemies know he's around, to scare beasts away, or just for fun.
Even though strong, tough and agile, he's slow due to his enormous size. He's also considered a bit slow in the head.
His social skills are nonexistent. He has hard time making friends, chatting and haggling are awkward for him.
He's also inable to use magic. He doesn't even use spell scrolls.
Daedra give him the creeps. He rather avoids communicating or fighting with them.
He's liked among the simple folk, for he's known to get rid of beasts and he likes to help people. Soldiers look up to him for his weapon prowness, while priests and healers respect his talent for herbs and medical.
Merchants dislike him for he never buys anything, he finds everything he needs in the woods, or as enemy's loot. Scholars and nobles don't think him as anything, he's just some dim witted pervert who's been rumoured to go naked in the woods and whatnot.

Most likely, heroic, strictly warrior/swordsman type. It's what I always use as my first character in RPG's (aside from Fallout 3, for some reason), cause it's pretty simple and allows me to get familiar with the game quickest.

What he said, then ill try a basic mage then thief.

Mage. The most fun way to test out a new game is when your character is in danger through the entire time
