I just couldn't help voting for the Ra Gada pantheon, I was amused reading about them and I like them very much.

The Tribunal, though in actual fact I'd be an atheist. A heathen.

The only thing is that in this case I'd be in the wrong, since the gods do exist  So I'll be at a major disadvantage I would think.

None of those Squares. Next to myself it would be His Gracious Good Bounty Yielding Majesty Sanguine, followed by Azura and Meridia, and Possibly Clavicus Vile. Other than that. . . well, I would be willing to aid The Princes in smuggling Daedra into Nirn. .. but my worship willingness ends with the above stated.

I'd wander around various witches' covens, probably settling on one devoted to either Mephala, Azura, Nocturnal, Hermaeus Mora, Sheogorath or all of the above. I'd hang around some other various Daedric cults, maintain friendly relations even with the Princes that I don't serve, and I'd be way too fond of the Tribunal for my own good, but too much of an iconoclast to really do anything about it other than own a complete set of the Sermons. I'd also mention to any more traditional Imperial citizens that I happen to be a huge fan of Julianos. Go to his services more. It's the knowledge and reason that we all need more of. Slap slap.

So yeah. Um, I suppose the Good Daedra, since I like those, plus ones that the Dunmer don't catagorize, plus Sheogorath. Because I would definitely be a good witch. I'd dress in pink fluffy dresses, float away on bubbles and give girls who come in from Kansas ruby slippers that would've helped her to a ton of trouble if I just told her how they worked in the first place.

Well, them and the Godhead. Well, duh. Going to the source, but it ain't a source that allows me to do cool fancy magic or dress up in silly hats. On the other hand, it totally does.

Minus their being non-sentient forces. Anu/Anueil and Padomay/Sithis... they are IS/IS-NOT, Infinity/Zero, Stasis/Change. Universe/Void. Giving them personification and attributing knowledge and purposeful creation to them would be like saying gravity has feelings.

no it would not because sithis actually is a personification giving him thought. as well as anuiel.

Then why does the dark brotherhood worsip him. He must have some way of letting them know that he exists. there must be some reason the night mother sacrificed her children too sithis. I mean her own children.:evil: :obliviongate:

oh and anuiel is the personification of filling

Because, to quote Paw Prints from a while back, they are bad theologians. The "dread father" they are all committing murder for is more than likely just Mephapa pulling the strings of both the Morag Tong and the splinter faction for his/her/its own amusemants or for the furthering the purposes of his/her/its spheres of [Obscured to Mortals]. The shrine to "Sithis" in Deepscorn hollow has both a missing heart and an obscured face, which are both hallmarks of the Missing God, Lorkhan/Shezzar.

Sithis is the void, literally nothingness. How can nothingness have personification or sentience? By its own definition, nothingness with those attributes would cease to be nothingness.

See, I've always seen Sithis as something along the lines of Khaos, the being from Greek Mythology. Not something that can think, like Zeus, and techincally it's not alive, but it is very real and has a quasi-will. Thus the creation of the Padhomaic beings.

Sithis is also a child of Padhome, and Sithis's creation made Anu (might be Anuiel) actually do something, instead of being his boring, Stasisy self.

All the TES gods seem to be poster-children for that most wonderful Law of Nature. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Only in the case of TES, the reactions are godlike beings.

I'm an atheist in real life as well, but in the context of the oblivion universe, there's a lot of credible proof to at least the Daedra. Like the appearing before you thing.

I said Sithis, until I saw Malacath. But I would probably worship Hircine. The hunt begins, My Hounds! WEREWOLVES!

Though. . . atheism suggests not only an absence of worship, but an absence of belief of any gods. . . how would your character manage this with the likes of Mehrunes Dagon and Sheogorath popping up for invasions or invitations every other month?

In a very techinical way, the Dwemer were atheists. They apparently acknowledged the existence of other spirits, but refused to recognize them as gods, preferring their mystical sciences. The uninformed believe that's why they got zapped and became the skin of Anumidium; divine punishment.

But atheism in the sense of Earth's cannot really be applied well on Nirn.

Definitely the Tribunal Temple, if only because Vivec kicks ass and takes names. Really, I would worship Vivec and his divine servant, St. Jiub, may he rest in peace.

I wouldn't worship any of them. Seeing as they interact with the world in many different ways, I'd sure as hell believe in them and possibly fear them.

I somewhat agree with this though ""The gods don't do a damn thing. Do they even exist? How could anyone tell? Daedra Lords, sure. They exist. They do things. Bad things, mostly, but things you can see. The gods? They don't do a damn thing. So why do we build big chapels and sit around and mumble, and ask them to save us from this and that? It's stupid. And chapels and priests and folks groveling on their knees, they're stupid, too.""

That's assuming I wasn't around to see the whole battle in The Imperial City.

The Best God - Lord Zalphon Broodikus, Nerevarine and Champion of Cyrodiil...

P.S. worshipping him in the Broodikus Cult gets you free cookies, they come in choco-chip, oatmeal raisin, gingersnap, snickerdoodle, and sugar cookie.
