Yes he can dress up as a doctor and it wont change anything, but if they find that culture appealing, if they like the clothes, the music and the people, and want to be part of that culture they can, unlike a doctor you dont need requirements, if you feel that culture suits you, then thats the catagory you fall into, you dont have to do something like cutting yourself to be emo. If they happen to like the emo culture, and want to be part of it, they can, you cant say "your not emo" because they dont self harm.
I'm just saying, it isn't
really emo. Or at least it wasn't until now. Before I left my school, that general culture, and the japanese/manga/anime/whatever culture was abundant in my school. Kind of annoyed me, because if you asked why they need to die their hair and wear the clothing they do, they respond: "Because I want to be different." It isn't different at all, most people in that "group" wear the same stuff, its not unique, its overused. Anyway, not trying to start an argument here, just stating what emo
used to be and how its such a used term now. People usually didn't publicly announce they were emo, now it's like if you are in it, then everyone in the world has to know. But they aren't even close to the same thing anymore. To each their own I suppose.
