Your karma choice?

Post » Sun Feb 28, 2010 3:23 am

What do you have or shoot for in the majority of the game. I personally can't even play a bad karma character the whole way through the game. It just [censored] bothers me and doesn't feel right, so I always have a good karma.

Also, in your opinion, which do you think has the most benefits?

Karma doesn't mean a thing in New Vegas. The only thing that reflects to your character image is what you've done to let people like you or want your head on a platter over a toasty fireplace. As for my answer, I play half good (killing specific characters) and half bad (stealing).

My character is NEAR saintly, but he has a tendency to take certiant items, IE permanent skill books, unique clothes via RPP, etc.

Can't help but be good. Both due to New Vegas' screwed up karma system and due to personal inability wear tophats and eat puppies :hehe: But, the only thing in this game that karma affects is one sentence in the first ending slide, so it does not really matter.

However i've been playing NWN2 too lately, playing with a drow it's easy to be evil

I end up good, but that is becus you GAIN karma for killing some people... which is all kinds of backwards, killing always gives bad karma!

I usually go for the good karma bacause that's the way I am. But if I want something really good or I'm just in the mood I will do some evil deeds.

I usually end up with a lot of bad karma due to my character's keptomaniac tendencies, then do Fiend hunting to rebalance it in order to pacify Cass.

I just started playing a new game and this time I went all-bad. I am "Very Evil" and am an "Opportunist." I kill whoever, whenever and steal whatever, whenever. At first, I was only planning on being some sort of clepto and loot houses and shops and people's pockets and sell it all to vendors and/or caravans, but then Silent Pete (?) caught me pickpocketing him in the Saloon in Goodsprings and came after me (along with Sunny, Trudy, and a couple Goodsprings settlers). I wiped out the entirety of the town single-handedly, with the exception of the doctor (in case I was ever too injured and out of Stimpaks and aid). However, I ran into Joe Cobb (?) and made alliances with the Powder Gangers, so Doc Mitchell ended up meeting his fate anyway.

As far as benefits are concerned, I'm not quite sure how this game will play out in the end, and I'm not far enough along to determine anything positive or negative stemming from such a reputation. (I've only been playing as this new character for about 7 hours total so far). However, there are quests that are now "failed" or unavailable, but that's because I killed the characters that would have given them to me. (i.e. Ringo (?))

PS. Sorry I'm so bad remembering names lol

I'd love to be able to to evil playthroughs in these kinds of games for the hilarious dialogue, but i just can't.

So usually i'm 99% good, but i don't bend over for characters like Dean or pick a dialogue just because it's the "good" one.

I usually wind up being neutral on nearly all my characters, however with the screwy karma system it's not easy to remain that way. Kill a few Fiends or Ghouls, and saintly you will be.

Whatever diety that determines Karma can shove it as far as I am concerned, Enclave and proud; regardless, he has clearly set-up some kind of defective automated Karma distributer in the Mojave.

I dont exactly have a 'choice' of what my karma is going to be in this game, it seems like no matter what I do I still end up being a saint in everyones eyes.

*Fist bump*

Man, Enclave and Talon Company should have worked together in Fallout 3, ya know, Talon Company being a proxy of the Enclave, instead of making the Enclave commonplace. Not that i would like it a lot, but i would have preferred it to the current situation.

Good karma. I have to large of a conscience when it comes to RPG's. I feel sad, and my heart feels like I swallowed it :icecream: :shocking: :fallout:

Talon company couldn't take out one Lone Wanderer with 3 men...the brotherhood of steel would walk all over them.
