Cazadors aren't hard to kill once you hit them. It's hitting them that's the problem because they're so damn fast and move in zigzags. High spread/area damage weapons are a must.

the only bothersome fight to cazadors is that they are difficult to hit and they are fast, and to make it more difficult, if they attack in large numbers which mostly happen to my character. even run and shoot won't suffice because they usually show up in a large area which give them a good advantage against me.

Lakelurks.
Deathclaws check under their beds to make sure that there are no Lakelurks. Lakelurks have a powerful ranged attack and can snipe with it. Their claws negate a huge amount of DT. They shrug off bullets and murder you with their eyes. Lakelurks... Lakelurks are my least favorite creature.

Hmm, by the way, aren't Lakelurks, Samp Lurk Queens and Mirelurk Kings all Psykers?
I mean, they send out a psionic wave right?
Only Psykers can do stuff like that. (High advanced Psykers no less.)

Its a sonic screech thing, not MIND BULLET SHUSHWA!!! A lot of sea creatures use sound waves to stun prey or would-be predators.

Fail to see how that's not a Psyker ability though.
I mean, how can it work "above" water?

But it isn't particularly loud. :P
Anyway, Psyker abilities come from the brain.
Sonic screech or whatever it is comes from their throat area correct?
Okay.

So maybe not a Psyker ability.
But still how can they shoot it above water?

There's a few.. Cazadors because, like people said, they are way overpowered and such. Giant mantis's because when you see one there's usually tons of them. And bloatflies are just generally annoying..

Cazadors are easy. Well for a shooter guy anyway. 10mm SMG with hollow point ammo.

I find deathclaws by far the nastiest. I'm getting kinda good at sniping just one with a silenced weapon then he can be dealt with. You screw that up and you have to deal with them all. Not good. The quarry is actually easy with all those nice sniping spots. The Gypsum Train deal seems tougher, although that is behind me now. Popping babies with Pushy is fun.

i completely forgot about lakelurks. I'm pausing my game as we speak, and i just encountered some lakelurks. they're such a huge pain in the ass. even with me, Boone, and ED-E they still take forever to kill, and they waste all my Stimpacks.

Also, i forgot about the Centaurs on the "Extremely Creepy" scale. They spit that crap at you, and i just feel like it's a nuclear booger. But then again, even the powerful ones are incredibly easy to kill. Even with a couple shots from a Cowboy Repeater.

And Bloatflies are a waste of ammo, yes, but go into V.A.T.S., and a headshot with a varmit rifle takes them down in one shot. Simple as that.

But back to those god-awful Cazadors. I don't understand how anyone could call them easy. I'm talking about taking them on the non-wussy way. Anything is easy when you have a Sniper or Anti-Material rifle and you're blasting at it from a hill from far away. But when you're within a short (to them) flying distance, with a gun, they're gonna [censored] you. Even when it's just three, which is a relatively small pack from what i've encountered ( up to eight ). They're so over-powered in this game, even more so then Deathclaws, which are insane as well.

I nearly forgot about Nightkin! One time i was doing the mission where you have to make your way from Primm to Novac, and i just finished up helping the caravan people take care of the Legionairs. Then, before i even knew what was happening (i was looting all the dead), it came up on my screen "ED-E is dead". I turned around, and boom! Three or four Nightkin were right in my face. In a matter of seconds i was dead. Such a pain in the ass.

But i guess what you got to look at is that all those creatures provide a reasonable challange to the game. If it was just the encounters with people, it wouldn't be nearly as difficult to travel everywhere and find stuff. But, they still are a significant annoyance when you're just trying to play through and beat the game. I fast travel so much because i don't want to deal with these stupid "things".

This game is still one of the best games ever made though. Can't forget that.

Well, i use a Laser RCW with Meltdown, so they are incredibly easy

With my gun character i use a Light Machine Gun with the 200 shot magazine or whatever, and just hold down R1

It's all about whether you have decent/good aim (guns) while you're backpedaling. :)
They're impossible (for me a least) to get a bead on from a distance (not using vats) because of the way they flit and flap at 300mph, but if you aim/start shooting from a distance before they see you, you'll eventually hit one (to get their attention) then they make ok targets as they're flying essentially straight towards you. Aim at their wings, don't worry about killing one before shooting at another, just get all their wings, they fall down, you get to finish them off mostly at your leisure. Something like This Machine or anything with decent dps/fire rate works. Some like flamers but eh, I don't bother, don't like carrying one around.

But it is about half luck (plus aim skill) when you're real-timing it, sometimes they get to you first and get in a hit or three, so I'm not trying to say they're super easy every encounter. Once you're familiar with them tho, it's not too hard unless (as always) they take you by surprise or you attract more than 3-4 at a time. And I'm sure in melee it's tougher since you can't avoid their strikes/poison when you have to be close to bash them...might have to actually use some antivenom, heh.

Lakelurks...you can usually time and dodge their sonic blasts, but if one of those does hit you, yeah, it hurts.

Night stalker

It's not only the creatures it's that damn rattle.

I love the background music in NV, one piece reminds me of the town of Curst music in PS: T, another the Arcanium intro / background music..

However in NV they play quite a bit a piece of background music where a rattle shakes briefly.
It allways make me swing and check for those damn nightstalkers.

Nightstalkers. They always jump me in groups when I least expect it, usually at a low level too. I can deal with Cazadors since I at least always have a full auto on hand and that seems to be enough to get rid of them. Lakelurks are close seconds. I use to think they were chumps, but that was because I was taking them out from afar, get closer however and getting pelted by that mind-wave attack is really brutal.
