Your life

University is keeping me pretty busy at the moment, as well as sport. Apart from that, I'm playing Killzone 3 and awaiting Crysis 2.

By the summer I'm going to have bought KZ3, Crysis2 and Brink in the space of a few months. Something tells me I won't be buying again until 2012.

By the end of this year i would probably have bought brink, duke nukem forever, skyrim and then i might get resistance 3 next year :)

Also theres another game i might get assuming it comes out this year and theres no subscrption to play it, dust 514 or somthing.

Trying to keep new game buying to a minimum now a days.

Skyrim is definitely tempting, and if it had come out anywhere near the time I discovered Oblivion then I would have snapped it up, but by now I fear my taste for games has changed to more of an FPS nuthugger. Fallout: New Vegas would have been a great compromise if it weren't so buggy.

Currently my 'active' game library is as follows:
Aliens vs Predator
EA MMA
CoD Black Ops
Killzone 3

I have loads more, but they never made it to uni with me, I'd need too much extra storage lol.

People still play AvP? I rented it before and the only games running were that hunting one where there was one alien and everyone was a marine and the alien made more aliens by killing a marine player, and the survival mode thing where 4 marines tried to survive waves of aliens like cod nazi.zombies.

I only played a few actual death match games which were never full. And no one hosted ranked matchs :/

AvP is underrated. It was actually a good game, but got very bad reviews.

Well, I've just sorta' been smokin' some of those "unstable herbs", playin' some MW2 and thinking about how Brink is making all the games I currently have look like complete and utter trash lol... :bunny:

Yeah there's quite a few people playing it, the issue lies in the shoddy matchmaking. You could have a million people queueing for a game and it would still take a full 5 mins to match you up. Unranked matches are much easier to get into however, and seeing as the only rank unlocks are player skins, it makes sense not to bother with ranked at all unless you want some trophies.

The melee system in that game was probably the best I've seen. It had light/heavy attacks, blocks/parries/counterattacks and KZ3 style brutal melees from behind.

I think they were called trophy kills or execution kills, i loved doing it on marines as a predator, the melee was very good and balanced imho, only thing i disliked was when i end up being the only marine against 4 aliens and 2 predators.

Yeah that svcked.

Tbh the marine melee system from the game is almost directly applicable to most other shooters. It had the ability to block and parry, without losing anything (except ADS, which could have been put in). If that were matched with a manually selected knife it would be awesome.

I got games to play, jobs that are hiring to apply, and school work that has to be done throughout the whole time waiting for Brink.

~Real-life-wise, I'm working part-time as an after-school Elementary day-care worker (as well as babysitting on the rare occasion) while looking for a full-time Elementary Teaching position. ^_^

So I'm listening to little pre-teen girls gossip and giggle and sing Justin Beiber songs and boys arguing who gets to be the team captain first all day, hehe. Apparently, the children have also come up with a game called Zombie (or Vampire) Tag, which I have no clue how that works to this day, lol!

~Game-wise, I haven't been able to play much because my family and friends tend to take the TV for most of the day, so I'm usually internet surfing (and job-searching) in my free time.

I'm also collecting info. about Brink and other games I'm excited about this year. ^_^

Bunny, would I be right in assuming you're a female?

If so, would I be right in saying you seem to be the only female on this whole forum?

Holy Batman, how did you figure that out, lol! :D

Oh, am I the only female? *looks around for other females* (Well, it does happen to me a lot, especially in comic book stores and some small conventions, lol!)

Aw, cute turtle. ^_^

I used to have a turtle when I was little... but I forgot to feed it, and it died. :cryvaultboy:

Yeah, I'm a female who likes the stuff boys are into, but I'm also pretty girly, lol! :D That's why I usually play the female character in games or wear pink (like in Halo) or play a female Lego character in Lego games to get the elusive "girly jump" (only female Lego chars can jump to reach high places), hehe. (I love jumping/pakour in video games. That's why I love Bayonetta so much. She jumps with style. :) )
