Your mic/headest

Post » Mon Oct 05, 2009 3:15 am

I'm thinking about getting a new mic/headest for my PS3. I'm currently using a bluetooth earpiece but my friends say that there's a weird clicking noise when I turn it on, so I'm going to get something better. So, I'm just curious to see what kind of communication device you guys use when you play online and what you think of it. This is the one I'm looking at right now:

Rocket Fish

My price range isn't that low, though. Anything that's $100 or less is suitable for my budget. I just want something that works well enough for my friends and I to cooperate on objective gametypes like Crash Site, but doesn't make any echoes or clicks.

the best none playstation blue tooth i have ever used was a jaw bone. You can pick one up for around 100 bucks. If you have your settings right on the ps3 no one will hear any backround noise from your house and they will hear you perfectly. I have four kids and when I use it they can not hear my kids and I can leave my house with it on and not even get static noises. Best bluetooth I have ever owned! Hope that helps, but I am sure that there is alot of other great devices too!

The Turtle Beach PX 21's you won't be dissapointed. They sound great and chat is crystal clear.

Maybe it works, but you can't talk in group menu. Unless you go to private match with your group (or a quick match) and then go back to the group menu. Then you can talk.

the headsett works, but the sound svcks, the bass is really bad when using the 5.1 surround setting. anyone who disagrees must be using other settings, cus this is just crap, and its not surround either. footsteps could be from anywhere. seriously.

Sorry for bugging you, but do you mind sharing these faults? From what I hear, it's pretty much Tritton vs. PX21 so I want to be pretty informed with what I'm buying. The only shooters I have are Crysis 2 (PS3), Black Ops (360), and Halo Reach (360). If you have any experience using your headsets with these games, please also share those.
