Your most/least favorite "type" of character

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 12:01 pm

I almost always use a magic character.

Though I'd say that being a sneaky character is more fun. Being a mage would be a lot funner if magic had a sneak multiplier.

My first character will be a mage, most likely. Probably because of the new magic system, and http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy297/b_harrison/skyrim/skyrim_gameplay_village.jpg image would look like one bad ass wizard.

Edit: To clear things up, when I say the thief type character, I'm thinking of a robin hood type person. A chaotic-neutral character.
When I think of an assassin type, I think of someone like Artemis Entreri. An evil for evil's sake type of person, that stabs you when you sleep.

I'm always some kind of warrior.

Never used magic in TES.

But this time I see me doing a bit of everything/

Warriors to me are usually just hack and slash characters with no finesse (no offense to those who pick them). I usually go with assassin/thief type of character and then play a mage afterwards. So many interesting skills and spells out there. Though with the new perks I bet i will enjoy warrior much more this time around.

I hate none. The poll does not allow me to vote.

Plain warriors are a bit more boring to me than thieves or magicians or some kind of hybrid of other classes, but I don't hate them.

I want to try a magic/stealth hybrid.

Couldn't really vote. I like playing variations on the nightblade class most. Love the combination of magicka, stealth, and combat. Least like to play "pure" class types (though I will be playing some in Skyrim, Mage, Warrior, Assassin). WIll probably play some form of warrior first.

i've always loved warrior types, playing that first.
since playing splinter cell pandora tomorrow and the rest of the franchise, stealth (assassin) type characters have been one of my favorites.
i ALWAYS hate mages! the only time i made a mage was in age of conan, which it was a melee mage that wore a robe, could turn into a demon, and used a 2h axe or sword. it was quite cool.

I just picked the one I used least. Thief. Not because I hate thieves, but I just only play like one for the thieves.
My strategy is to sneak and pick off the ones separated from the rest and when it comes to fighting use swords and magic.

A warrior-type character is my favorite way to play. Melee combat is fun. I guess my least favorite is Assassin. I like stealth and I like stealthy kills, but if I'm sneaking around and all, I might as well be stealing things too.

For Skyrim, I'll do a little bit of everything. I'll explore the various schools of magicka and try out the spells and different combinations, and I'll sneak around and get some stealth kills, but for the most part, I'm going to be putting on heavy armor, picking up a sword and shield, and cutting people apart.

I love playing as a thief/assassin mix. It's a more tactical play style than a hack and slash warrior imo. Lurking in the shadows, planning your strikes to be one or two hit undetected kills was always fun for me. I never really used magic much, but I'd give a mage a try in my second character (which won't happen for a while because of all the content to experience with the 1st).

Warrior Battle mage is my favorite type of character.

Archer is my least favorite type of character. Hopefully Skyrim fixes that.

Right now I would go with a Warrior Restoration Mage character with some skill in the bow although if the bow still svcks or I svck at it then I'll switch to Destruction Magic.

I both love and hate assassins. I love the expertise and drive that an assassin has, but I hate how shallow and blood-thirsty they can be. I greatly prefer the Morag Tong over the Dark Brotherhood.

Oddly enough, I hate actually killing people in games, yet assassination is something I'm drawn toward.

I have to say, I always go straight for the thief/assassin type first. Then I'll make a warrior/mage character as an alt.

I have never successfully RPed a Mage, I always end up doing the Warrior Routine, I usually like a stealthy fighter best.

I mostly play warrior types, but assassins and thieves are fun too.

I haven't found mages (magic) so interesting. Fire or ice, there hasn't been much of a difference. This is likely going to change in Skyrim as the spells are going to look and work differently this time. Hopefully with better looking effects too.

Assassins and Thieves are great fun. Nothing like pulling off a successful reverse pickpocket with a poison apple or sniping foes from afar with a bow.

I prefer the warrior/mage combination. Normally in a(more or less) 70/30 ratio.
