Your most overpowered Vampire Lord build

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 6:51 pm

Hiya, I just created a new character who will be mainly a Vampire Lord Class ! The problem is I know nothing of the bonuses and items that make your human form & beast form stronger ... Could you tell me what are the best pieces of armor, clothing and jewelry to make my Vampire as strong as possible and counteract the disadvantages of roaming in daylight ! Give me your insight ! (:

A good place to start is by playing a dark elf vampire. Vampires have a natural weakness to fire, and dark elves have a natural resistance to fire. So dark elves essentially suffer no penalty for vampirism.

I am currently playing a Dark Elf Vampire Lord, with perks in Destruction, Illusion, Conjuration, One-Handed, Sneak, Lock-Picking, and Light Armor Smithing. My Health is 600 and Magicka is 400, and I have the Atronach Standing Stone bonus (+50 Magicka, 50% chance of spell absorbtion, 50% decreased mana regeneration), I have raised my Magicka to 670 by using Savos Aren's Amulet (+50 Magicka), Ring of the Erudite (+100 Magicka, faster magicaka regeneration), and the Mage Circlet (+70 Magicka), and I'm wearing Vampire Lord Armor (125% Magicka regeneration), Vampire Gloves, and Vampire boots). I'm quite pleased with this build.

I only have 300 health in normal form so in VL I have 500, arrows almost have no effect. I then have 700 Magica in VL form and 350 stamina. I can easily kill giants and dragons. The Gargoyl is so weak compared to my power I never bother with it. This is with no rings or amulets of power, if you add them you would be much more powerful.

My Necro-Knight Vampire. Has(with enchantments) close to 600 health and 500 magicka. You can imagine how much Health and magicka I have in VL form haha. Uses necromancy mostly(sometimes uses atronachs and dremora) , Illusion (because as a vampire illusion magic is more powerful), Destruction(Specialize as an Ice mage), Light armor(Vampire Armor looks awesome), and One-handed for dual-wielding. Once I go VL I obliterate everything.

Doesn't much matter, the Vampire Lord form is seperate.
However I had the most fun (As a vampire) on my dark elf battlemage.

The Ring of the Erudite: +100 magicka and improved magicka regeneration, my personal favorite.
RIng of the Beast: +100 health and +20 to claw attacks, which can be pretty nasty with the perks.

I'm curious as well, OP. I'd like to know if VL form would benefit more from a pure mage class, rather than a sneaky. It seems VL form just adds to the existing abilities? Am I mistaken?

A character with maxed out Enchanting can probably become one of the most powerful Vampire Lords possible. With enchantments you can negate almost all penalties that being a Vampire Lord gives you, like Resistance to Fire, Regeneration and Fortify of Health/Magicka/Stamina. Also, being good in Illusion to Calm people at Stage 3/4 to be able to interact with them solves the last of your problems (untested if this counts for regular Calm spells or just the Vampiric ones). In addition some Standing Stones are especially beneficial to Vampires.

Get necromage in restoration school, makes all enchantments 25% stronger, and makes certain spells 25% stronger too.

I was never aware of that perk ! I hope it doesn't require too much restoration though, it's a pain to level up
