I made this thread specifically for something that JUST happened to me.

I was running through the Wasteland on my new character, and I noticed a friendly NPC on my little radar.
So I ran over to him, and all I heard was "Help, a bomb!" Then a noise sounding like an electronic device was booting up. Then he exploded!

Whats the most random thing to happen to you?

So I shot Arkansas from far away but somehow I had not hurt him, I sneaked to where he was and I saw his head poking out of the rocks that are were he lives, strange thing is that he could not see me, I shot his head, and it just started to spin and then it just flew to the sky xD
Another one was when the wastlanders come for your help to deactivate the bomb, well i failed and went to kill the raiders, then the same wastlander started attacking me, dogmeat killed her, a few minutes passed then her body exploded leaving nothing behind.

This evening inside the Statesman hotel during " Rileys Rangers".
Super mutant behemoth managed to fall through one of the top steps of a staircase, all you could see was it's legs dangleing with no way of attacking me.

Result, i took him out while trying to push fawks out of the way.

TOP TIP: dont try to complete rileys rangers with fawks, it aint possible lol

There was a Deathclaw chasing after me, so I ran inside one of those Blue/Gray Trucks lying on the ground and the Deathclaw was able to go inside of it with me. I managed to slip by the Deathclaw and I ran out of the truck. I turned back and look at the Deathclaw. After about two seconds the Deathclaw glitches out of the trucks and flies into the air. It kept flying up and up, it didn't come down.

I was out near Old Olney, when I was attacked by a Death Claw. Naturally I pulled out my Black Hawk and entered VATS. I got a critical hit on the second shot, killing the Death Claw. but instead of Death Claw death animaiton I see this Enclave officer dressed in her skippies, with her head rolling away. WTF?!?!?!

I shot a raider and he glitched out and looked like a spider crawling.He disappeared so I kept on playing,about 5 minutes later he came flying by me randomly and went over a hill,never to be seen again

There was a time I shot a protectron in the chest what happened was that he launched back and flew backwards about a mile or so. And later I find his remains near the highway.

My newest random moment was seeing Crow (the traveling merchants) Brahmin out, and alone... with no one around... haha

i had this powerless moment where for about 5 mins i couldnt attack and i was just constintly running and my vats just locked on to enemies for like a couple of mins

I was walking past the Citadel yesterday and all of a sudden I saw something falling from the sky. It was one of the BoS guys, dropped dead a couple of feet in front of me.
Guess he'd been hanging out in Rivet City in his spare time. One too many conversations with Mr. Lopez will do that to you.

Long ago, when I had prolly only had the game for a month or less, and owned no guide, I was test-driving a new character. I was well under level ten, I remember, and trying to get to Rivet-City. I came across two buildings in DC connected by a covered bridge. The bridge was damaged, and in the un-protected center there stood a super mutant. In his hands, I swear, there was a Fat Man. Had to be. With each shot (he was landing hits like 10 ft away from me), half my limbs crippled. I limped away from that fight with no stims, no Fat-man, and minus one stealth boy that I had tried to use to finish the bastard.

I have NEVER seen another mutie with a Fat-man after that. To this day, I have no idea if that was a weird glitch, or a random encounter that's simply very rare.

Not a Random experience , but its something Random that i did

found Dr. lee's(sp?) glasses on a raider just south of the Republic of Dave.

Released the Super Mutant Behemoth at Evergreen Mills and prepared a Mini-Nuke in the Fat Man for VATS.

I fired it (aiming at his head in VATS, because I always do) and in very slow motion the Super Mutant Behemoth just started to lift up into the sky, while apparently still walking toward me? o_O

VATS ends, he's still slowly moving upward, and slowly moving forward.

I started to panic a bit because he actually survived the blast, and I wasn't really prepared to fight one with small guns. o_o

Eventually he reaches I guess the ceiling of the sky? (invisible wall? or Truman Show reference?) and falls back to me.

Hits the ground and takes the fall damage, and dies from it.

Just today i ran into 3 hunters killing wastlanders for meat. I followed them for abit to see what they did, but they got killed by dogs and eaten. Since i have the animal friend perk it was pretty funny.

For me it was running away to hide and replenish my health and hitting that weird glitch where the skeletons on the ground move in such a way as to damage you...yea, I died...yea, it scared me to death because I was completely out of line of fire by this point. I've been damaged by stepping on skeletons many times but that was the first time that it killed me

dude that happen to me too, after i killed her cuz she attacked me, she blow up next to a car, she almost killed me, than i said to myself "[censored] kamikaze"

The other day I used VATS to shoot one of those mutated bears (yio guai or something) while it was charging at me up a hill. It's head blew off when it was just feet from me. When VATS ended it's headless body suddenly sprang into the air. I watched in aw as it did a slow summersault 20 feet over my head and land behind me. I turned back just in time to watch it's head roll down the hill.

The day before that I was sneaking through some ruins looking for the library for one of Moira's quests when I saw a raider and her guard dogs. They hadn't noticed me so I watched them for a minute. I noticed that one of the dogs was slowly rising up into the air as if there was an invisible platform rising under him. He them proceeded to clip through the overhang of a building, never to be seen again.

I also seemingly vaporized a radscorpion with a frag grenade once. I threw the grenade in VATS and when the smoke cleared the scorpion was gone. I looked around for a while too but I never found it's body. Not even pieces.

Making my way back to Megaton one afternoon when suddenly Leo (that normally friendly supermutant) was running towards me bellowing with fury!!
I was like "woa what gives?" while pulling out my gauss rifle to defend myself. Before I could properly react he'd ran past me and was attacking an albino radscorpion which was scuttling up behind me.
Anyway, one confusing fight later the radscorpion is dead....but I discover Leo is as well. I was actually upset by this and said out loud "..I'm sorry..." Far from wanting to attack me, he had saved my life taking on that monstrosity.

Well this isn't random but I was infiltrating the enclave base in broken steel I had the gauss rifle and there was a troop coming up stairs on the side of a building and i went into vats and targeted his head and the first shot made him fly in to the air and the second shot I blew off his head while in mid air. It was awesome I loled for like 5 min.

I went to Rivet City for a killing spree and then came back to Megaton. Suddenly there came something from the sky. It was Rivet City guard, swimming on the air and just passed the damned Megaton without giving a s*** about anything. Then I looked around, every person was stopped, and their necks were kinda triple-sized and their heads were high in the air. That was hilarious, I didn't get a screenshot though, the game crashed to that (and no wonder lol.)

Just today whilst casually strolling from the Super Duper Mart I came across and intense battle between 4 Brotherhood Outcasts and their Sentinel and 3 Deathclaws. The problem? Well the Deathclaws were just firing up into the sky falling back down and firing up again. When one fell it managed to claw a Brotherhood Outcast and there was shower of innards as his corpse (torso and one leg) flew up high into the sky. Needless to say I just sat there gazing in amazement.

I have had two recently. The first was me walking along on my way to Arefu and a Yau Guai head came over the hill and just rolled right on by me. Never saw the rest of it or whhat killed it. The second was walking along the east bank of the Potomic just north of Dukov's Place and BLAM....a dead Centaur lands right in front of me. Scared the crap out of me.
