In your opinion, what is the best build?

My omnipresent summoned Seeker will give away your position.

That and what throat? You mean my esophagus that has not worked since the late Merethic era? :teehee:

My favourite build usually involves heavy weapons and heavy armour. Anything else feels unnatural.

Honestly, I think most builds can be fun, at least for a while. I usually get a little bored of 2H/heavy armour after a while, but it's great fun at least to start with. I also like sword and shield, or one of those with a spell in the other hand, or good old two-handed destruction. I've not done a full-on non-destruction mage build yet, but I'm definitely planning to, after my current character (who's a bit of an all-rounder, without 2H just yet as she isn't strong enough yet, but she's got the Bloodskal Blade and Volendruung (sp?) locked away for when she's built up some muscle (inasmuch as the game allows for that... I'm using the Pumping Iron mod, though, so she's already gone from the skinniest to the third skinniest bodytype. It won't make a huge difference, and I forgot to take a 'before' picture in regular clothes, but it's something.)

Nightingale armor would be cool, just try to avoid getting into the old sneak and snipe combat style while going through that quest line (remember we're trying to do something different, new, and less cheap)

For bows I would suggest going out the reach as soon as possible and fighting some forsworn to get your hands on a forsworn bow. The forsworn bow has great draw speed and damage. It will outclass just about everything short of dragonbone Bow, Zephyr, and Auriel's Bow. A Daedric Bow "Might" have a hair more DPS than a Forsworn bow, but it's too slow for an open combat fighting style. You want to balance damage with speed so you can stagger enemies more often and make it hurt your DPS less if you miss a shot while on the move.

After you have a Forsworn bow your next goal is the Zephyr bow from the Dawnguard DLC. Don't bother getting it until you get the arcane smithing perk as you need that perk to improve it. Without improvement it falls behind other bows you can improve.

For end game I suggest either Auriel's Bow or a Dragonbone bow.

If you can handle living way up there the Hearthfire house up near morthal is the best for farming ingredients as you can farm fish to get river betty. You could of course have multiple houses and have that be your farm house.

Melee+Magic for me, with varying degrees of either one.

Thanks for the tips :D I don't think it's possible to kill a Forsworn early in game, they will tear me to shreds D:
