COLD BLOOD PIRATE KILL IN IMPERIAL CITY.

Last night on 2nd Hearthfire, 3E 433. The body of local smuggler captain in the Imperial Waterfront, Captain Gaston Tussaud was found in his private quarters onboard
Marie Elena ship, his body was among two others covered in blood by the door of the quarters, Outside the scene the body of his first mate Malvulis among two other
pirates were also found dead. Imperial guards are currently investigating the scene. Sources say that the killer snuck onboard in a supply crate ready to be shipped out to
Vvardenfall. It is thought that only two pirates have survived this massacre. Those two pirates reported to have heard the sound of swords clashing in
the captains cabin, but stayed after two more pirates later slain went to see what happened. Some sources suspect the killer resides

! TAMRIELIC CITIZEN VIOLATES THE LAW !

On the fourth of First Seed, a Sundas, an aged, wiry-looking woman was nearly caught by Imperialist Guards as she drained the health of a nearby passerby, our lovely and fairest of all, Alessia Ottus. The incident occured on or about 10 pm, and was witnessed by about a half-dozen others!

The woman-scum, known by various aliases such as Kate, Eradi~Kate, Miss Terri, and Lyn Ching, was looking pale, as if she hadn't seen the sunlight in months, and is still at large! Upon draining Alessia's health, a set of nearby guards immediately confronted the pale woman SCUM, and drew their blades in defence.

"STOP! YOU VIOLATED THE LAW! PAY THE COURT A FINE OR SERVE YOUR SENTENCE, your stolen goods are now forfeit!"

the guard was heard to announce! Apparently, the suspect known as Kate had some stolen goods upon her person, although this could not yet be confirmed by this reporter. According to several witnesses, the woman-scum then vanished right before their eyes, as in vain the guards searched for her.

Alessia was later quoted as saying

"This pale woman-scum is gray, grim, and depressing. Her hands felt pallid against my lovely golden skin. I hope to never feel her scummy touch again! She appeared dirty and dishonest, and probably squats in a filthy, tumbledown shack. Take care! What's the news from the other parts of Tamriel?".

If you have any knowledge of the whereabouts of this woman-scum known fastidiously as Eradi~Kate, do not bother to contact the Imperial Legions. Their knowledge of psychics can usually detect such a menace right away, should Kate be foolish enough to enter the soils of civilization again.

! KEY-PROBLEM !

18th of Morning Star, 3E434,
Bruma, Chorrel and the Imperial city have been hit by a new wave of crime!

As if the trials of these troubling times are not enough, a new problem has hit the shores for the humble people of the empire : Keys have gone missing all over tamriel.
Many citycens of Tamriel find themself unable to enter or leave their own houses, city guards seem to be to occupied to do something about it.
Although not confirmed by them, we have it from our sources that even these city guards lost their own keys, and find themself left out in the dark as well.

As you can imagine, a missing key would not be easely noticed, as many people think they have lost it and are at first ashamed to ask around out of shame.
However when they overcame that shame and found out that in fact all the people in their city or district lost theirs too, it became clear there was something bigger at hand.

High Chancellor Ocato has taken this matter into his hand, and apointed investigators to look into the problem, as well as extra guards for the city's not yet hit by the problem.
So far they only discovered that the first area hit seems to be the notorios riverside district in the imperial city as early as 14 Hearthfire 3E433, and that when the problem hits, all people loose their key in the same 3 days.
They have however no clue who or what is causing this problem.. is it a thief? Why than go to the length of stealing keys, but leave most of the valueble items inside homes intact?
Is it a rogue mage, raging havoc? could be, but what good would that do, if their are unlock spells available troughout the kingdom?

How ironic it is, than only a few years ago the last locksmith-shop located in the market-district closed, because their service was to often used by shady figures that were in fact thieves seeking for false keys.
And while the mage-guilds try to aid, by casting and learning unlock spells to the common public, they are in far to small number to help all those afflicted.
As a result the only one seeming to really help the people to enter their homes again, are the many thieves of tamriel, however their aid does not come cheap, as you can imagine.

High Chancellor Ocato wants to stress the people of Tamriel, that If you have any information that can help unravel this mystery, please contact one of the investigators in your district, as soon as you are able to.

Here is a snip from Episode 69 of Buffy’s Journal that opens with an article from the Courier -

Black Horse Courier

DINNER PARTY MARRED BY PRANKSTER!

Leyawiin - - Countess Alessia Caro held another of her formal dinner parties recently. We have often reported these events as somewhat dull, somber affairs. This one however was revealingly different.

At some point well into the evening, an unknown assailant cast a spell that literally stripped the event of its dreary predictability. In fact, the mischievous magic quite removed every bit of clothing from the lovely Countess and her fellow diners. The guest list included the Invels, well known members of high society from The Imperial City. Other nobles traveled from as far away as the City of the Great Oak to attend. Even one of Leyawiin's own knights, who was a guest at the dinner, fell victim to the spell.

Speculation is rife regarding possible motivation for the assault. Leyawiin is a city well- known for tension between Argonians and Khajiit. Rumors even exist of the Countess' own dislike for the beast races. When asked about a possible connection, a spokesman for the castle flatly denied any such rumors as idle and malicious gossip.

The commander of the Leywiin Guard, Captain Caelia Draconis, has ordered increased patrols, and launched an investigation in the wake of this grave breach of castle security. Given the lack of any evidence to identify the perpetrator, no arrest has yet been made.

Hildara Mothril, the Countess' personal assistant and advisor, made a brief statement confirming that Lady Leyawiin has no dinner parties planned for the near future. The Countess herself was unavailable for comment.

"Captain, give me your report," demanded Marius Caro. "Have you caught the criminal?"

"Not yet, Your Lordship." The Imperial's mail was adorned by the white stallion-emblazened surcoat of a Leyawiin guard. Her dark blond hair was severely drawn back into a tidy bun affixed to the back of her head. A Legion blade, with silver crossguard and pommel hung from her sword belt. "My men have interviewed the entire staff and have yet to turn up any leads. The only unusual person in the castle last night was that reporter. His credentials and noninvolvement have been confirmed."

"Bah! Reporters." The Count snatched up a copy of the Black Horse Courier from the empty throne next to his own and angrily waved it. "No doubt responsible for this!" He then noticed my presence. "I wish I could say good afternoon, Buffy, but this is a dark day indeed. Forgive my manners. Dame Buffy, this is Caelia Draconis, Captain of the Leyawiin Guard."

Captain Draconis and I nodded to each other. The Count then addressed those assembled in his throne room, "I would have a word privately with Dame Buffy. Please excuse us for a moment." The small entourage moved into the great hall, leaving the Count and I alone with a sole bodyguard, who melted discretely just out of earshot.

Marius Caro's face softened somewhat as he gestured toward the vacant throne beside him. "Sit."

My eyes flew open wide. "Milord?"

"I'm not promoting you. Just sit."

With a soft jingle of mail, I did as ordered.

"Buffy, I'm sorry for the embarrassment this fiasco caused you last night. I might find naked nobles humorous, but such an assault to the dignity of one of my knights is another matter. As you can see, we are doing everything we can to identify and bring the perpetrator to justice. The Countess and I will, of course, compensate you for the loss of your gown. Alessia is humiliated and refuses to leave our bedchambers. Her guests all left Leyawiin in a huff."

"My condolences to Her Ladyship," I lied sympathetically. "Please do not worry yourself on my account, Milord. I'm a wood elf and quite used to wearing only my skin."
