Your own Realm in Skyrim

Post » Sat Sep 11, 2010 7:41 am

One thing I have ALWAYS hoped for is that Bethesda will let us create our own realm...similar to how Mankar Camoran created his

Not only will it be a nice way to try out the creation engine construction set, but it is far more immersive and engaging than just having a Manor to store your inventory items

Umm so you want to make your own worldspace in Skyrim via the CK? You probably can, just like in Oblivion/Morrowind/Fallout. Unless I missed something, if so please explain.

With construction set / creation kit you have way more freedom to create whatever you want.Of course you need to spent some time learning stuff, like how to create 3D model, import them in a game, learn script language,etc...but it is woth it. :foodndrink:

I am talking about creating a world that ties to the main quest in the game.

What if you were the one Merhunes Dagon gave the ability to create a realm in oblivion, and you used that realm to hide a powerful artifact.

Just an example...

I don't see any way or reason for creating a realm that would tie into the main quest of dragon slaying.

The thing is, you're not Mankar Cameron, and Elder Scrolls V is set 200 years after the Oblivion Crisis. Creating your own realm to hide an artifact for Mehrunes Dagon, has nothing to do with the main story in Skyrim.

You do understand that the Creation Kit isn't just something you pick up and play around with until you get what you want, right? It's pretty close to a professional game making tool, and part of what Bethesda used to make the actual game. It takes a lot of practice and patience to learn to do what you're talking about.

So obviously you can do what you're asking, but you truly have to learn how to mod (model, texture, script, etc.) before you can make it. Bethesda aren't just going to have something set up to where you can easily create your own realm of Oblivion.
