Your Own Wild Wasteland

Post » Thu Aug 25, 2011 2:06 pm

What would experiences would you add to the wild wasteland perk, pop culture reference or your own wackiness?

I would add a gecko with a top hat and cane that dances like the WB frog.

I'd totally make a huge guy who carried a midget i.e. Mad Max 2 just change there names in an obvious way and have them involved in a short quest or something.

That was Mad Max 3: Beyond Thunderdome. Mad Max 2 was The Road Warrior. And "Mad Max" was the original film.

I would love it if Snuffles was made into a player companion. I would dress him up in a Formal Wear and a Tuxedo Hat and we would rule the world together. :disguise:

Snuffles is a girl. So a dress would be more appropriate.

lol, it's not like I flipped her over to see. If you talk to someone about her, they refer to her as a she and I also think it's mentioned in the official guide.

Oh well, thanks anyways. Now I'm going to have to think of another outfit for her to wear. :sadvaultboy:

EDIT: Ok, I got it. I think that I would have Snuggles wear a Pre-War Casualwear without any head gear. Someone needs to make this into a mod...

I think some TES references for an easter egg would be nice. Well since it's the same engine being used for Oblivion, "magic with guns" reference I think would be good for a Lul. :)

Sadly I don't know much about Fallout 1 or 2 or what ever other Fallout there is so I wouldn't know if there is a Fallout Easter egg or not. Another sad thing is most of the WWL stuff, I don't even get, and only say 1 that I knew of. The Indiana Jones reference, I didn't get or see anything else and thought it was a waste of a perk. I guess that is me to blame though. Would have been nice in game to see an explanation instead of reading it online.

I absolutely thought it was a waste of a trait, and should have just been the way the game played ~period.
(I also would have preferred the aliens not be there, or be discovered dead, and not so many of them.)

I agree. I never thought it was worth wasting a trait slot on. Hurray for mods.

I would have a mini games room plonked in the middle of the desert, were you could play arcade games like astro wars, space invaders and frogger. If you've got the caps.

A T.A.R.D.I.S. ~only this time it behaves just like any other building in the engine, and has a bigger interior. :chaos:

You would think that a sharp programmer (or three) could adapt the DOSBOX source into an in game menu as DOS emulator on a terminal... and play Arena.
