Your Patch killed Crossfire (Again)

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 5:58 am

Crossfire has gone all goofy ass again, flickering, lighting screwups. It's Crysis 2 at launch all over again. Normally I'd be biching at AMD but Crysis 2 worked fine before the 1.8 update and I'm running the same drivers and CAPs so that leaves us with the patch.

STEAM Version (US)

My Specs (Important parts at least):
i7-950 @ Stock (for now)
12 GB DDR3 1600
2x 6950 2GB (810/1225)
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit

Running the game at 1920x1200@60Hz

AMD 11.5b Hotfix Drivers (8.85.6RC5 May 25th) and latest CAP2 (May 29th)

All ingame options to Extreme, Vsync Off, No CVARs (except intro video skip and disabled mouse smoothing)

Crossfire Disabled and all is well. Crossfire enabled and well, just watch the video...

Does no one at Crytek have a computer with two graphics cards in them?? Seriously... I know the consoles only have one GPU and that seems to be all you designed Crysis 2 for but this is f'ing ridiculous. I cannot fathom no one at Crytek not at least testing their game on a Crossfire/SLI setup before releasing updates.
