Your perception of time.

How is your perception of time?

I'm capable of putting myself into a state of mind wherein hours seem like mere minutes. I have had plenty of time to practise though. I recently spent two weeks doing practically nothing, yet I don't remember getting particularly bored. This is quite contrary to how I was a couple of years ago.

I dont really have a consistant sense of time. So on my own i cant tell the difference between 10 minutes or an hour. I wear a warch if I leave the house and compulsivly check it

I often lose track of time when I'm reading and playing a game, but if I'm watching TV I'm acutely aware of the time and how it seems to be crawling by ever so slowly. If I'm not doing anything at all, I'm also acutely aware of the time because I'm so incredibly bored(I'z haz issues). Seriously though, if I'm reading/playing a game, 4-6 hours can go by and I won't even realize it, used to get me into a trouble with my wife a lot in the early years of our marriage, I'd be playing FFXI when she went to bed, and still be playing when she got up because I had no idea so much time had passed.

The older I get the faster time goes by. Things that seemed like they happened a year or two ago are closer to decades. Days go by in the blink of an eye. I've read somewhere this is caused by the brain going into a sort of auto-pilot since many of the daily interactions have been done a number of times before. Meanwhile when you are younger you newly encounter these and need your brains full attention.
