Your pick of best LOOKING armor set

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 1:18 am

All of the armor in this game looks amazing....except for Dragon Plate. Dragon Scale looks good though. I love the simplicity of steel armor, it looks like armor that could actually exist in the real world and seems to be pretty functional in its design. Ebony armor has the same functionality in its design as steel and is probably my favorite....when it comes to over the top armor the Daedric armor is pretty sweet looking but not very functional in its design.......what do I mean by functionality?...armor should have clean smooth design so that a landed blow slides off lessening the impact. Armor like the Daedric armor actually funnels a weapon strike toward you turning a glancing blow into a direct strike.....of coarse simple functional armor designs don't sell video games, japanamation DVDs or movie tickets....observe any cartoon, movie or video game with characters ranging from giant robots to to tiny little goblins and you will find that the more outrageous the armor the more people seem to love it.....So yes, bring on the Steel and Ebony armor as they are beautiful...!

I quite like the leather armour. My second pick would be glass.

Would that be Dragon Plate or Dragon Scale?....Plate is ugly as sin.

Daedric + Vokun (I don't like the Daedric helm much)

The Dark Brotherhood mage hood is probably your best bet, I posted it in my picture. It does have a bit of red though.

Edit: If not, the Shrouded Cowl is completely black, but doesn't cover the face as much as a hood.

Nice, They both would do the job nicely. I need to start the DB questline finally then. Cheers. :foodndrink:

If you're after the first hood, make sure you pick it up when you first enter the Sanctuary, it's in the first room. If you don't get it then I don't think you'll be able to get it later on.

light armor: Nightingale(looks like crap on my Argonian though, they need to add a slit up the center of the cape so the tail doesn't clip through, looks horrible that way)

heavy armor: Daedric

Using a combination of DB and NG on my assassin, and Dwarven looks awesome on my paladin, so I'll stick with it for a long while. :P

My favorite honestly is just plain leather. It's simple, looks very nice. Yeah, I went light amour. And use a two handed weapon.

The Fur armor, the one that covers the arms completely. I feel like it protects me against the cold and all.

Orcish, Glass, Dwemer, Ebony, Steel...

Well, I should count the armor sets that I don't like.

I'd say Glass for light armor, Dwemer/Ebony for heavy and Thalmor for non-armor.
Spoiler
(Besides Nocturnal's robes for sure...)

I wore steel plate until I could craft ebony, then I wore ebony until I could craft Daedric.

I'm yet to play a thief or assassin character and I refuse to do the respective guild questlines with my warrior or mage, so I still have no idea what nightingale or dark brotherhood armour looks like. So far I like Deadric and Ebony for heavy armour, Elven and Dragonscale for light. I'm very impressed with the armour designs Skyrim as a whole, though, with the exception of the Glass armour set. It just looks so... camp.

Steel for males, although drangonbone with no helmet is pretty cool for RP reasons.
Ancient nord armor for chics, IT's really hot

Steel plate/Wolf on my gal. Forsworn when she's going hunting or in places where it's warmer. Fur(with long sleeves) in winter places.
Iron armor for my guy. Fur in the cold.
I had to use the cap limit on some of these armors just so I can wear them when I want and not get 1-shot killed.
