Your pick of best LOOKING armor set

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 3:59 am

I actually just picked up a full set of Falmer armor from a dwemer ruin, put it on, and it looks completely badass.

Other than Falmer armor, Forsworn armor and Glass armor I think are the two best looking. Glass looks fancy and valuable without being too over the top.

Ancient nord is my favourite heavy, and nightingale my favourite light.

I'm not really a fan of the helmets though. I would love a Dragon Age style don't show helmet option. It's also annoying that not wearing a helmet means my long hair looks awful with the chestplate. It looks as if my armour is growing hair.

Still, construction set in January, and I'm sure a few people agree with my gripe enough to guarantee they'll be modded.

When I first found a mask (which fit my skills perfectly) and had no idea what it was, and put it with glass armor and a glass bow, I thought the guy looked like the coolest futuristic robot assassin ever. On another character I really like ebony as it suits his image very well.

daedric, hands down. Children run from you when you enter town with daedric armor on, lol.

Stormcloak officer armor and helmet are the best looking ones. Second best is glass which also have the best looking weapons in the game.

I personally love the look of Steel Plate armor set.
Especially the helmet, with the wings and all that.

What is your favorite?

Full iron with a branded iron shield, the coverboy armor.

Everything else looks stupid or too fancy.

You're still with iron? I wear a full http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/614970002291744019/310AD35DFF2753E846F671757682B1268FB23927/ suit. It just screams "badass" on my Nord :)

I actually consciously "wasted" a perk point on Elven smithing just to be able to make Steel Plate instead of all those flashy Heavy Armor sets. It just looks so much more real. I really don't understand why Steel Plate is in the Light Armor side though. Why isn't there an equivalent LA set on the Heavy Armor branch?

Steel Plate for HA followed by female Ebony, then Daedric.

Elven followed by Glass for LA.

Edit: These choices are out of the craftable sets.

Wolf Armor from the Companions... Not that great, it's just Steel. Looks cool though.

Anyone know what the Bosmer (the gal with the bow) in one of the the loading screens is wearing? Kinda look like leather armor, but without shoulder pad. I'm trying to find that one for my new char.

Full elven is really nice, and so is full hide armor.

Personally I really like the beginning sets of light armor, hide, leather and studded look good.

Wolf Armor. The only "rare/unique" heavy armor in the game that I can relate to a "good-guy" character. Steel plate looks ok, but wayyyy tooo common, I mean your the dragonborn... cmon. All the other heavy armor that is decent is very evil looking.. ie: daedric.
Dragonbone looks dumb.. sorry but it does.

Wolf armor has purpose, only worn by like 3 npc's and is damn sixy if you ask me. Sleek black, with silver trim, light but still heavy armor stats.. what more could you ask for

On my Orc melee character I like to do fur armor (the alternate that just covers legs) with hide bracers and hide boots.... Looks just like the badass one from the loading screen. When I get in a fight I switch back to ebony.

Only armors I DON'T like are Shrouded (light armor - robes are fine), linewe's, glass, elven, dragonscale, and most of all nightingale.

Everything looks fantastic

My current Light armor Female has been wearing Whiterun guard armor. I think the stormcloak/guard armor looks great on females.

I really like Orc armor on both males and females.

Id like to see Chitin, Mythril, and regular Chainmail return.
