"Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen

It is fun to bash elves with this in the background!

Years ago, I used to play that on piano/keyboard all the time, and bashed my fingers!

Whoo-hoo! Nice thread. Found some gems here, most especially this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQl1JbuYrLk

Lately, I've been contemplating on using a fairly conservative character for my first quick playthrough, with a Breton spellsword, and his theme songs could be none other than the default soundtracks for Skyrim.

As for my second character, and this is where all the real fun begins, will be a heavily armed, skooma addicted, misogynistic dual-wielding Khajit berserker/marauder (who may or may not be a cannibal, to boot) whose real motive for the whole dragon hunting business is just that, a BUSINESS. For teh drawgz munnay, of course. He's even going so far as terrorizing the settlements himself should the inhabitants were stupid enough to refuse to pay his honest dragon slaying service. Yes, this particularly crazed fellow with no moral compass whatsoever is the last bastion of hope for all the mer/men/beastfolk alike. Gods bless Tamriel :cryvaultboy:

And below are the theme songs for this character. Prepare for incoming FACE-MELTING moment!
Spoiler

  • For the dragon wrestling routines: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qslyq8CcXu0

  • Another day, another dungeon/bandit hideout/small settlements to pillage. A generous amount of booze involved: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJRm36yhWl0

  • Final bout theme with Alduin. With an insane quantity of Skyrim's equivalent of Sujamma drank beforehand: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rth-MbhybNA
    • Note for the cheers starting from 02:38 onwards: that's when the whole citizens of Skyrim miraculously cheering behind this normally hated person (while secretly hoping that he somehow killed in the process, obviously).
    • Also of note is what would be his insulting word of choice for the World-Eater later on this track (something about the Dragon of Time's brother and his kin. Wait for it!)

  • EDIT: And when all's said and done, something a bit different: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhmHaHTV-QM

One thing I like the best about adding music...it doesn't take up a mod space.

This is a great theme for any mage. Mystically haunting, bone chilling music. All the variations of the theme in this video could be used for different moments as well. Such as materializing out of thin air. Walking onto an epic battlefield for the first time. The moment the tide turns in a fight, etc, etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6J_3rsEwYVE

Note: its best not to watch the video--just listen to it and see what comes to mind as it plays through.

In all seriousness

My Nord Dovakiin is a going Dragon Slaying in Skyrim with Yngwie as his Army.
Haven't listened to stuff in a while as I'm more of a classic rock/blues person.
But as I recall the lyrics... Some of them just ooze Skyrim...

Nice original thread!

You can't deny it doesn't get much better than this in terms of songs you could ACTUALLY see in the game:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Kn99vRCbww

I recommend the entire soundtrack, although that game flopped miserably, the production values are astonishing.

I have two characters planned. (I'm sure there will be more; there always are.)

1) My Orc warrior, a distant descendent of an Orc adopted and raised in Vvardenfell by Dunmer members of House Redoran. As such, his family - though Orc - have always lived by the Redoran principles of duty, gravity, and piety. His family was displaced to Solstheim 200 years ago, and eventually immigrated to Skyrim. He carries on the traditions of his family... even though other Orcs look at him like he has Dreugh crawling out of his ears for it. His theme would be whatever the name of the song in the time-lapse concept art video is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQe89UeYS1o

2) My Breton explorer. Happy-go-lucky, care-free, fun-loving, and adventurous, he seeks only to explore the land, make what friends he might along the way, and go wherever life takes him. His theme would be the Kingdom of Ixa'Taka from Skies of Arcadia. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0F-hJjD3XAs

Would be probably Black Sabbath - War Pigs
Lyric Snip:
Spoiler
Generals gathered in their masses Just like witches at black masses Evil minds that plot destruction Sorcerers of death's construction In the fields the bodies burning As the war machine keeps turning Death and hatred to mankind Poisoning their brainwashed minds Oh lord yeah!

or

Metallica - For Whom the Bell Tolls
Lyric Snip:
Spoiler
On the fight, for their right, yes, by who's to say?
For a hill men would kill, why? They do not know
Suffered wounds test there their pride
Men of five, still alive through the raging glow
Gone insane from the pain that they surely know

Take a look to the sky just before you die
It is the last time you will
Blackened roar massive roar fills the crumbling sky
Shattered goal fills his soul with a ruthless cry
Stranger now, are his eyes, to this mystery
He hears the silence so loud

or maybe

Therion - Asgard A Nordic themed Song from their Album "Secret of the Runes"

Definitly http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlL_-5VfQJI. It makes doing ANYTHING incredibly epic. The youtube video has a crappy quality (96kpbs) version, but my 320kpbs sounds fanstasmal.

It does make doing anything sound epic.

Serious answer

Epica - Triumph of Defeat
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3j7uaRhy0c

Listen to it peepz

Eye of the Tiger - Survivor

I suppose your character's name will be Rocky then

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0KOfTV1dbc&feature=related

Oh, I went there.

Does sound better than the original from the series. :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_ZMmEFA4Q0

or

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xLxHdswnQw

Disturbed FTW :mohawk:

Considering we can change our character's weights on this, and I, for some reason, love making ugly characters: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2mU6USTBRE&feature=artistob&playnext=1&list=TL8LnD4TFQGQ4

you win.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqAqa0f8WN4
The Dream theme is very similar

Excellent one.

This,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tczU6OWoUkI

Godsmack - I Stand Alone

I think it suits the single player element & the attitude of my character & how I play.

It's practically a classic by now.

For my necromancer-themed Breton that will be my first character, definitely http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGQXOYvD4rE

Sounds like something that would fit well in any game.
