Your Skyrim Character

Just wondering which playstyle and race will be most popular among my fellow Skyrimittes.

Also included a obligatory Vampire/Werewolf question to help Bethesda choose which to put in ;P

Female Breton pure mage, here.

By the way, you're missing Imperials, Redguards and Orcs.

Yes I know, but by stealth here I mean sneaking up to people to do horrible things to them with daggers heh.

Just thought I should differentiate the two schools of thought as far as stealth goes, up close stealth attacks and bow attacks.

Argonian focusing on Stealth/Archery. I never tried that combo in Oblivion, since archery and stealth were poorly done, but I'll give it a try in Skyrim.

I'm not sure about the wisdom of planning out my character before I even know what skills we'll have :S

All I can say for certain is the "None" for the third question, so I didn't vote.

It's not.
Even if it's in the "stealth" skillset, it's not part of a stealth playstyle. It's a combat skill.

Can't possibly decide on what race I am going to play without seeing how they look and what options are available for them in the actual game, but chances are I'll make a character that looks as much like myself as possible which means I'll play a nord.

If the nord males look absolutely awful or I can't make a satisfactory similar looking character I'll most likely play a khajiit or an argonian, they tend to look okay no matter how you configure them.

From the other thread :chaos: :
Lately, I've been contemplating on using a fairly conservative character for my first quick playthrough, with a Breton spellsword, and his theme songs could be none other than the default soundtracks for Skyrim.

As for my second character, and this is where all the real fun begins, will be a heavily armed, skooma addicted, misogynistic dual-wielding Khajit berserker/marauder (who may or may not be a cannibal, to boot) whose real motive for the whole dragon hunting business is just that, a BUSINESS. For teh drawgz munnay, of course. He's even going so far as terrorizing the settlements himself should the inhabitants were stupid enough to refuse to pay his honest dragon slaying service. Yes, this particularly crazed fellow with no moral compass whatsoever is the last bastion of hope for all the mer/men/beastfolk alike. Gods bless Tamriel :cryvaultboy:

And below are the theme songs for this character. Prepare for incoming FACE-MELTING moment!
Spoiler

  • For the dragon wrestling routines: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qslyq8CcXu0

  • Another day, another dungeon/bandit hideout/small settlements to pillage. A generous amount of booze involved. Also lots of Moon sugars: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJRm36yhWl0

  • Final bout theme with Alduin. With an insane quantity of Skyrim's equivalent of Sujamma drank beforehand: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rth-MbhybNA
    • Note for the cheers starting from 02:38 onwards: that's when the whole citizens of Skyrim miraculously cheering behind this normally hated person (while secretly hoping that he somehow killed in the process, obviously).
    • Also of note is what would be his insulting word of choice for the World-Eater later on this track (something about the Dragon of Time's brother and his kin. Wait for it!)

  • EDIT: And when all's said and done, something a bit different (cue the 'contemplative mode'): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhmHaHTV-QM

Forgot to add this Queens of the Stone Age tune as his main theme song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAXPUN2z2CE

edit: Oh, and he hunts the shape-shifters for sport/to eat/to violate.

Breton female. Either pure mage or mage with some swording ability. Probably a werewolf, depends on pros and cons. Definitely a werewolf if Hircine's Ring is available and it does something similar to its' Daggerfall version. Though I don't really count on it.

Dunmer
Archery/Magic I guess, with stealth and alchemy, ideally enemy is dead before it sees and/or gets anywhere near him.
Unsure, will depend on how they're done in Skyrim.

That depends on how the races look in Skyrim.

Most likely it'll be a Dunmer mercenary, couple of hundred years old so he was active in Morrowind and Cyrodiil respectively during the time of the games that take place there, but he's not the Nerevarine or the Saviour or Cyrodiil, just some guy who happened to be around there.
Favouring light armor for mobility and swords with destruction magic in combat. An oppurtunist at heart, he will always look out for himself first and do whatever it takes to get the job done, morals mean little to him. He despises Argonians due to the invasion of Morrowind, he's not an idiot, he knows most Argonians weren't directly involved, but he still doesn't like them and never has.

However, if Orcs actually look awesome this time. I will be making a big, strong orc favouring either a claymore or dual wielding, favouring medium to light armor for speed and mobility. He's a savage monster in combat, but a calculating and fairly intelligent guy in reality, he's kind to his friends but brutal and merciless to his enemies. He strives to do the right thing, if that means breaking laws, killing people or stealing then so be it, anything goes when the world is at stake. And he is not about to see the world destroyed if he can do anything aobut it.

I hate wearing heavy armor on my characters, when I spend so long designing them I'd like to be able to see my work pay off, not some giant, humanoid tin can.

So yeah, that's two characters, which one I play first awaits to be seen.

Female breton battlemage! I'm really excited that with the new face and body system I can make a smokin hot scorceress. I really hope they have a lot of hair, tattoo, eye color, options...and cloaks! I really want my battlemage to wear a blood red cloak.
