Your Skyrim characters name

Female Bosmer, Assassin - Arven Oakspark

Just wanted to mention, that name is kinda blasphemous to Bosmers.

I usually just figure out a name at character creation time, depending on whims.

Previously used names (there've been more, but I don't remember them all...)

OB - Silver, Callisto, Eilonwe, Illyria
FO3 - Lara, Sumiko, River, http://fallout3nexus.com/imageshare/images/492029-1242938712.jpg, http://fallout3nexus.com/imageshare/images/492029-1271208211.jpg

My character will probably be a Stealth based Dark Elf, with the skills; Sneak, Illusion, Markman, Speechcraft, Blade and maybe Destruction and Conjuration. I will call them either Feyredas for a male Dunmer or Lyrelle for a female. If the game has melee staves like in Morrowind then Blunt will definately be in there too.

I tend to base my character's names off of Greek Mythology. My first character will be a purely combat based imperial named Achilles. I usually name my magic based character Icarus or Zeus. However, seeing as how this is set in Skyrim, i may choose to go with a more Norse mythology flavor

Are a lot of your characters named Jesus?

That's gotta be sarcasm... But then again, it's not like the internet has ever given me a reason to trust in the wisdom of humanity. The bible is just a few hundred pages of names and "and god saw that it was good." Except from when he is displeased. Then there's no more lulz for the people. Just plenty of water. Or fire and brimstone.

I just use my real name for my character in RPGs, since my character represents me in the game. Besides, I have an elfish real name, so it totally fits. :)

Maximus, a former gladiator from the land of Cyrodiil, imprisoned for killing the man that murdered his family. He has nothing to live for but for the chance to make the world a better place....

Sound slightly familiar?

Lol. Thats the same type of character and the exact same name I used for an Imperial I made in Oblivion.

I based him as a former Imperial (who are identifiable with the Roman Empire) soldier. He was an Imperial equipped with heavy armor. I gave him the military haircut with the head band.He used ebony armor until I got the armor for completing the main quest (which looks as though its made of ebony).

For my main character in Skyrim I will use my normal Nord and he will be called Arran (as from the name Earl / Aryan).
I have used this Nord as my main character since the first time I placed Morrowind. He will be all out heavy attacker.

After playing it for a while I'll probably make my other character which will be light armored and stealth who'll be a Bosmer. Bosmers with a bow and light armor are fun to play with as they hide and can jump out of reach.

I cant think of any good names for my character for skyrim and will most likely just end up calling him Dovahkiin. Maybe some of you could help me think of a better name and post some good names for other forum users that like me cant think of a name

What will you call your character?

btw, if you would like to help me and others out post some names under these criterias to help people choose names for thier type of gameplay

Strength based
Stealth based
Magic based
All rounder
Marksman
Other

I will be using the same name on my first character that I always use through the first play through..." Dumb Dumm tha Knuckle Headed "

My first character will be role-played as a nordic shamaness named Sibyl.

About the name "Sibyl." - From Greek Σιβυλλα (Sibylla), meaning "prophetess, sibyl". My understanding is that in Norse mythology, Poetic Edda, the Voluspa, is the “Sibyl’s Prophecy.”

My 2nd character will be role-played as a bardess, and her name will be Anglaise Cantabile, very loosly translated from musical terminology to mean an English spring song.

Dark Elf - Denorilo Silverwarrior

Yes, and my middle name is Eve, which is short for Evenstar . . . my Mom was a huge LOTR fan. Plus my family line and Tolkin's are apparently connected. :)

That's awesome! Good job you weren't a boy tho, being called Bilbo or Aragorn could be tough at school lol...

A name is just a name . . . it isn't WHO you are. I have imagination by the boatload . . . I just don't feel the need to rename myself to play a RPG.

But in my own case, I have language issues (and am more literal than most), so I sort of need my character (the "me" in the game) to have my name.
I also have had online journals, which include my fantasy writings, since 2002 . . . with Morrowind (http://amito.freehostia.com/Morrowind/MW.htm), Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Fallout New Vegas. And people have gotten used to my Arwen character.

My first character will be Swift-Runner the Wood Elf. It's not a typical name for a Bosmer but there's a reason for that.

Extreme sarcasm here is part of an excel file I have where I try and keep cool names for character and where I found them. These are the ones from the Bible that I use most often (yes I have a name spreadsheet...doesn't everyone?) I know there are others I just haven't gone through them all...I'm sure there is a webpage out there for that though.
