YOUR SKYRIM EXPIRENCE

It's the best game I've ever played, but with some glaring flaws. The biggest glaring issues are Blocky Shadows and Uneven Textures. Apart from that, there are quite alot of minor improvements that could be made, but they are largely balance and feature related and can be easily remedied by mods. The following is list of small issues items:

- more race based experience, reaction from NPCs (non-humans shouldn't not be able to join the Stormcloaks)
- NPCs need deeper dialog trees
- Dragons are less dangerous than Giants
- smoother dragon flight (currently they lurch through the air in a disjointed, physically improbable fashion)
- cell lighting is not centered on light sources
- PCs head does not turn towards NPCs head (as it did in Oblivion)
- Friendly NPC health bar doesn't display when you heal them
- Ward spell system is highly inefficient and ineffectual at lower levels
- no way to debuff resistances without resorting to poisonous physical attacks
- elemental spells should cancel each other out (eg, flame melts frost > frost grounds sparks > sparks dissipate flame, etc...)
- would be nice to have a venue for non-leathal dueling with weapons and spells (arena?)
- Enchanting is broken due to 100% cost reduction bug
- too many skills are all or nothing and don't scale well with leveling (eg, illusion, Wards, raise dead)

I love this game. Eventually it will (hopefully) rise to the 10 it could be in my view.
I'm a big fan of the character leveling system + perk trees. I believe this provides a fantastic amount of flexibility in developing how you want.
I'm not a big fan of all the problems that have surrounded the ps3 distro -- although I seem to have mitigated the lag effects somewhat by disabling auto-save and rebuilt my ps3 database.

My first time through, I've been playing as a pure mage / necromancer. I have enjoyed it until I finally managed to get the highest level conjuration spells. In particular after getting the reanimate thrall spell my abilities to raise any undead permanently have ceased.
Sadly, I somehow have two reanimate thralls (even though I don't have the twin souls perk) listed under active effects...except none are in sight.
Summoning a temporary atronach or raising a temporary undead does not clear these from active effects...even though by rule they should.

I've had a handful of lockups as well...the worst was 3 lock ups in roughly 40 minutes of play. One time I've had the game suddenly (and quickly) exit to the XMB without a system reboot...weird.
The frame rate could be better and so could the draw distance.

Overall, I have really enjoyed the exploring this exceptional world...but with the bugs included I only give Skyrim...

7/10 (for now)

I love this game.

gave it a 9 though because of:
two unfinished/glitched quests (so far)
random crashing to desktop (rare but happens)

Great game and I'm totally immersed in the stories/quests.

4/10

The main quest and all of the faction quests were too short and lacked substance compared to the previous games. I don't like how they killed magic by removing spell crafting. The game also felt over-streamlined and dumbed down.

Bethesda also didn't make the game work on standard definition televisions, which really made me mad. I shouldn't have to buy an expensive piece of hardware that is still fairly unreliable just to be able to read text.

The amount of bugs in Skyrim is inexcusable

94 hrs, only half way through the main quest and not really started any of the guilds yet. Only discovered half the the locations and cleared a handfull of dungeons. Still can't stop playing it every minute that I can. And feel like slapping all the haters. Ha ha
